This secluded cabin with a private pool in Wimberley is the perfect couples´ getaway in Wimberley, Texas. This one-bedroom cottage is a rustic and stylish rental where guests can relax in luxury. The bedroom is beautifully lit, with large windows giving lots of natural light and a lovely king-size bed and the full bathroom has a garden tub. There is a game room with an air hockey table for some friendly competitions and a satellite TV and DVD player in the main room for movie screenings after a day outside in the pool or hot tub. Curl up with a fire in the wood-burning fireplace and relax with a classic book or movie. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything guests might need to prepare and enjoy meals at home, and there is a barbecue grill outside for cook-outs. Out back, there is a covered porch with the hot tub and a private pool and pool deck with chairs for sunbathing. Linens and towels are provided by the host at this secluded cabin and Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and heating are installed to keep guests comfortable and connected.

Very Private and quite location!

Cute and Cozy

Pros: Quiet, secluded, serene, and great backyardCons: I’m sorry but the interior was not cleaned well at all upon our arrival. Smudges and fingerprints on doors, dust bunnies in the corner of bedroom, yellowing pillow shams, coffee splattered on the side of the fridge and trash can. No paper towels or dish towels in the kitchen. I think it is a basic expectation that a STR is professionally cleaned between each guest but sadly that did not seem to be the case here. Otherwise we had a good trip

Picture Perfect Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very private and peaceful. While the cabin has a chic rustic exterior the appliances are modern and the furnishings are comfortable. The cabin is well appointed, with spectacular photography by the owner donning the walls throughout. We basically lived on the back porch and the hot tub and pool were both very clean and well kept. The only ding I can give is that the game room has been converted into another bedroom - which would be fine (game room wasn't a big draw for us) but only one bedroom was made up with sheets, etc. We would have liked the option to choose which room to sleep in, since the unmade bedroom had direct access to the back porch. We were pleased to meet the owner when we visited his downtown Wimberley shop (Wild Life) and purchased an awesome Willie Nelson photographic print as a souvenir of our wonderful stay!

Birthday get away

Overall the vrbo was good. There were, however, several small issues to deal with. Several of the lights were burned out. There was very little amenities as well. It almost seemed the cleaning crew had not completed the cleaning between renters. There was only one trash bag for the trash can. There was not but one kitchen towel or dish cloth to dry your hands on and then have to use the same towel to clean the dishes, which was a requirement to check out. The spare room did not have any linen. We had to use the linen from the master in the spare room because the bed was too firm in the master. It would have been nice to have lamp lighting in the main space instead it only had the overhead lights (this was somewhat of a mood killer for a romantic getaway). The main door lock did not work with the key. We had to use the porch door on the back of the house to get in using the key provided.
