Welcome to the Story Cottage on beautiful Lake Leelanau!
Create your own story while visiting northern Michigan and stay at our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom lake house. Enjoy sunset views from the enclosed screen porch, relax in the waterfront hammock, and roast s’mores in the fire pit under northern Michigan’s night sky. Located on 150 feet of waterfront and 1.6 private wooded acres near the narrows on south Lake Leelanau, this is the perfect location nestled in the heart of Leelanau County:
• 3 minutes to the village of Lake Leelanau
• 7 minutes to Suttons Bay
• 9 minutes to Leland and historic Fishtown
• 13 minutes to Lake Michigan (Good Harbor Bay)
• 25 minutes to Traverse City
• 30 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes national park
The master bedroom features a king bed with an incredibly comfortable memory foam Casper mattress. This bedroom includes a private bathroom and shower. The second bedroom includes two bunk beds. A second bathroom and shower is located in the main area of the house. A queen sized sleeper couch is in the living room. The cottage sleeps up to 8 people comfortably.
Other amenities at the Story Cottage include:
• 2-car garage for ample parking
• 2 kayaks for use during your stay
• Dock access for your boat if needed
• Beach chairs, towels, and gear
• Nest thermostat (air conditioning + heating)

Lake Leelanau runs 21 miles through the middle of the Leelanau Peninsula in northern Michigan. It is connected to Lake Michigan via the Leland River in Leland, MI, home of historic Fishtown. The entire lake includes two bodies of water, usually referred to as North Lake Leelanau and South Lake Leelanau, connected by “the narrows” in the village of Lake Leelanau.
