Step outside to Casa Quince’s shared tropical courtyard, heated pool and jacuzzi; walk six blocks to Central Park; or ask us to arrange dinner, a driver or tomorrow’s adventure. If you prefer privacy, we simply leave you to enjoy your home.

Casa Santa Cruz gives a smaller family or group of friends the Casa Quince experience without paying for bedrooms they don’t need.

PRIVACY INSIDE. A LITTLE LIFE OUTSIDE.

Casa Santa Cruz itself is entirely private.

Outside your door is Casa Quince’s shared tropical courtyard with heated swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The courtyard is shared only with guests staying in the three neighboring Casa Quince homes not with the public or a large hotel.

You can close your door and disappear.

Or wander outside and see who is by the pool.

Both are perfectly acceptable.

AN EASY WAY TO EXPERIENCE ANTIGUA

Central Park is approximately six blocks away and Antigua’s local market is only a couple of blocks from the house.

The market is worth exploring in its own right, with fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, local food and Guatemalan crafts.

Wander out for coffee, spend the day exploring churches, ruins, shops and restaurants, then walk home for a swim or a quiet evening.

WE ARE HERE ONLY IF YOU WANT US

Some guests love having local help.

Some specifically choose a private home because they don’t want anyone organizing their vacation.

We understand both.

Meily and our team can help with airport transfers, private drivers, Lake Atitlán trips, tours, restaurant reservations, massages, babysitting, meals and recommendations.
But none of it is expected.

If you need us, ask.

If you don’t, we stay out of the way.

Housekeeping is included Monday through Saturday and can be arranged around your plans.

You’ll also have our local welcome guide with favorite restaurants, cafés and places to discover independently.

DINNER WITHOUT GOING OUT

One evening, skip the restaurant.

Choose from our menu and let our local Guatemalan cook prepare dinner in your house.

Meals are served family-style around your own table, with local flowers, Guatemalan touches and music helping create the evening.

Bring your own wine.

Talk for as long as you like.

When dinner is finished, walk away.

We clean everything.

TRAVELING WITH FRIENDS NEXT DOOR?

Casa Santa Cruz can be booked alongside one or more other Casa Quince homes.

It is a lovely solution for extended families or groups of friends who want to travel together but still appreciate having their own front door.

STAY WITH PURPOSE

Every stay booked helps fund one full week of school for a local Mayan child.

Self check-in is available via lockbox.

Meily is nearby if you would like help during your stay. If you prefer to be completely independent, we respect that and leave you to enjoy the house.

QUIET & CONSIDERATE STAYS

Casa Quince is best suited to families, friends and groups looking for a relaxed and enjoyable stay.
Please keep music, television, conversations and phone calls at a considerate volume, particularly in outdoor and shared areas.

We ask guests to avoid parties, loud gatherings, fireworks, firecrackers and other noise makers.
Please be especially considerate when arriving or leaving late at night.

Drinking, smoking and loud conversations should be kept within your private areas rather than condominium streets or shared public spaces.
Thank you for helping us maintain the peaceful atmosphere our guests and neighbors enjoy.

GUESTS & VISITORS

The number of overnight guests should not exceed the number included in your reservation or the maximum occupancy of the home.

If you would like to invite visitors who are not included in your reservation, please contact our team in advance.

Visitor approval may depend on the number of people and the circumstances of the visit.

The property may not be sublet, transferred or assigned to another person without prior written approval from the owner or our team.

CARE OF THE HOME

Please treat the house as you would your own and leave it in the same general condition in which you found it.

Guests are responsible for significant loss, breakage or damage caused during their stay.

Where a security deposit applies, the cost of significant damage, breakages or outstanding charges may be deducted from the deposit.

We understand that occasional small accidents happen and do not normally charge for minor items such as a broken glass or plate.

Please let our team know promptly if something is damaged or stops working so we can help.

When leaving the property, please close and lock the front door.

At check-out, please leave the home in reasonable condition and make sure doors and windows are properly closed and locked.

SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed inside any of the houses or in the main shared courtyard.

If your home has a private patio, garden or other designated private outdoor area, smoking is permitted there.

Please avoid smoking in condominium streets and shared public areas.

PETS

Our usual policy is pet-free, but we may occasionally be able to accommodate a well-behaved dog with prior approval.

If a pet is approved:
The fee is USD $20 per day for one pet.
Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pet.
Pets should not disturb neighbors or other guests.
Please keep pets out of shared courtyard areas unless our team has specifically approved otherwise.
Please contact us before bringing any pet to the property.

PARKING & VEHICLES

A maximum of two light vehicles per house rental may be parked within the condominium.

Please park in the permitted area directly in front of the property whenever possible and avoid occupying or blocking a neighbor`s space.

Additional vehicles should be parked in a nearby designated parking area.

ATVs are not permitted within the condominium.
Commercial vehicles, heavy vehicles, buses and other large vehicles may not be parked overnight inside the condominium.

This includes buses carrying more than approximately 12 passengers. Our team will be happy to advise you where larger vehicles can park.

WEAPONS, SECURITY, DRONES & FIREWORKS

For the safety and privacy of everyone staying in the community:

Weapons are not permitted on the property.

Private armed guards or private security personnel may not be brought onto the property without prior written approval.

Drones may not be used on or around the property.
Fireworks, firecrackers and similar devices are prohibited.

LONGER STAYS & UTILITIES

For stays of 21 nights or fewer, normal household utilities are included in the rental price.

For stays of more than 21 nights, the rental includes cable TV, internet, gas, electricity and gardening services up to a combined allowance of Q500 per month.

Any applicable utility or service costs above the Q500 monthly allowance are the responsibility of the guest.

Additional charges may include excess gas, electricity, housekeeping, internet or cable costs.
For monthly or other qualifying long-term rentals, a USD $500 security deposit may be required upon arrival, subject to the terms of the booking platform used.

Any applicable outstanding utility charges or significant damage may be deducted from the deposit before it is returned.

HOUSEKEEPING

Any housekeeping included with your stay will be described in your reservation.

Additional housekeeping can usually be arranged through our team and may involve an additional charge.

For longer stays, additional housekeeping is not automatically included unless stated in your reservation.
