Red Bear Cabin is where families come to actually disconnect. Set on 3 private acres in the heart of Hochatown, you're minutes from Broken Bow Lake, Choctaw Landing Casino, and Beavers Bend State Park — but the cabin itself gives you every reason to stay put.
This is a genuine luxury log cabin, not a cookie-cutter rental. With 3 bedrooms, a bunk room, and a game loft sleeping 9, it's built for groups who want space to spread out and gather together. Warm log cabin character, high-end finishes, and thoughtful amenities throughout — and a 9.8 rating across 13 guest reviews to back it up.
THE SPACE The living room anchors everything — a large stone fireplace, oversized leather couch, and warm log cabin character that immediately feels like a vacation. The fully equipped kitchen features a 5-burner gas stove and seats 10 between the bar and dining table, so the whole group eats together.
Step outside to the screened-in covered porch overlooking the creek and property. It's the kind of spot where evenings disappear — outdoor sectional, fire pit table, dining table, and creek views as far as you can see. The creek behind the cabin flows beautifully through much of the year and sets the backdrop for the fire pit area in every season. Note: the creek is seasonal and flow varies with rainfall, particularly in summer.
SLEEPING (sleeps 9 in beds) — Master suite: king bed, private en-suite bath with soaking tub — Upstairs bedroom: queen bed, private walk-in shower, desk workspace — Queen bedroom: queen bed, private back porch access — Bunk room: twin bunks with a kids' hideout nook behind them — Game loft: twin daybed, arcade unit with 60 games, oversized bean bag
OUTSIDE Adirondack chairs around the fire pit along the creek, kids' playset, Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Jumbo Connect 4, Ladder Toss, gas grill, porch swing, and multiple seating areas front and back. Deer walk through regularly — keep an eye out early in the morning.

Beautiful cabin with all the essentials you will need and more! My girls loved swinging and playing in the creek! It was nice to get them away from screens and outside! We had the best time!
This was our first time to travel to the Broken Bow /BeaverBend State Park area. Our cabin was in a beautiful location and was awesome inside and out. Perfect for family relaxation and fun!!
The property was wonderful. Lots of little touches that made it great - fully stocked spices, the pancake/waffle station, etc. We loved the fire pit on the patio and the creek out back! The owners were very responsive when we had an issue with the gas.
The cabin was perfect. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed to make our getaway comfortable. The owners guided us through the process from confirmation to checkin to checkout.
The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained! Close by the creek which allowed younger kids to do a little fishing! So fun! Love this family friendly location! Ronnie responded quickly to any inquiries! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place!
The cabin was very well decorated with lots of amenities you typically don’t see in a rental. From snacks to paper goods, etc. the lot is very spacious and campfire is large for a family gathering. The screened in porch was amazing. So many good things to say!
Things to think about:
The cabin is a little close to the main road and you can hear the cars but we didn’t mind. If you’re looking for no traffic noise you might want to be further away from the road. Also know the master bedroom is a bathtub only with a shower head from the bath you can stand up and use. There is also not a usable closet in the master but lots of drawers to fold clothes. Just a few things to think about if they are deal breakers for you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the owners are wonderful at communicating.

Long Weekend in Broken Bow
The cabin is nice but you can hear the freeway and music playing from a local bar until about 10pm. This is not a remote cabin in any way. One shower was not clean and had hair from a previous guest. The television did not work in the primary bedroom. Upon contacting the host we were told to trouble shoot it and replace batteries, get another remote but it never worked. The host is not able to fix issues and we were going to spend any more of our short time there trying to maintain the cabin for hosts. You will get automated emails from them but otherwise they aren’t super helpful. If you are staying with a group this house is very difficult given the bathroom situation. There is only a shower in the shared bathroom so one family will be stuck with only a bathtub, just not ideal. For the amount of money we paid, I would stay somewhere else next time.
The property is absolutely beautiful! We celebrated my boyfriends birthday with a little weekend getaway and this cabin exceeded our expectations! The host were friendly and quick to respond to our needs. We had such a great time that we are looking to return and being our family on the next trip.
We were rained in on our vacation and the cabin was the BEST place to be. Sitting on the patio watching the stream and listening to the rain by the fire with friends. We will definitely be back
This cabin exceeded our expectation for a cozy weekend getaway cabin. It was extremely clean and well stocked with household supplies. The property manager was very responsive to emails and communication was great overall. The back porch is dreamy and relaxing! We’d love to stay again!
I can't say enough good things about Red Bear Cabin! It is absolutely picture perfect from the moment you drive up. The inside is gorgeous and clean, the hosts Ronnie and Kerry obviously have great pride for their cabin and it shows. We wished the creek wasn't so dried up (stay was in mid August,) but goodness they can't help not getting rain for 2 months. I'm so use to bringing everything from kitchen/bathroom necessities and cleaning supplies, but they have all that available to you! That makes a very ocd packer super thrilled. Don't worry about bringing spices for cooking, they've got an awesome cabinet stocked full, it's so cool! We have an almost 3 year old and were pleasantly surprised they had convenient little fold out step stools that were great for when washing little hands. They literally think of everything to make your stay more relaxing and at home. We truly weren't ready to come home and even booked an extra night to stay. Ronnie and Kerry were so fast to respond to my emails even late in the evening like when deciding to stay another night spur the moment. Don't ever worry about these guys not taking care of you during your stay. The location is very convenient and just in minutes of local restaurants and the beautiful Broken Bow Lake. We will definitely be staying here again and cannot wait to come back!!!
Red Bear Cabin went above and beyond our expectations. My sister and I took two senior couples, plus my two kids and there was more than enough space for the the 8 of us. The location is beautiful, and the cabin itself is just beyond amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds are very comfortable. The outdoor play area and the loft arcade game were definitely a hit with my kids! We had such a wonderful time. The special little touches around the cabin truly made it a 5-star experience all round. Thank you, Ronnie & Kerry, for great communication throughout the process!!

About the host
Hosted by Ronnie & Kerry
We're Ronnie and Kerry — a family from the Houston area who fell in love with the Broken Bow area and wanted a place our own family could escape to. Red Bear Cabin started as our family getaway, and we've put a lot of care into making it a place where other families can create the same kind of memories we do here. We manage Red Bear ourselves — no property management company, no middleman. When you reach out with a question or need something during your stay, you're talking directly to us. We're responsive, we're invested, and we take pride in making sure every guest has an exceptional experience. We hope Red Bear becomes your family's go-to escape the way it's become ours.
Why they chose this property
In a market flooded with cabins, Red Bear stands out for a few reasons that matter when you're planning a family trip. SPACE AND PRIVACY Most cabins in the Hochatown area sit on small lots with neighbors close by. Red Bear gives you 3 full acres with a creek running behind the property — room for kids to roam, space to breathe, and genuine privacy that's hard to find in this market. You're not on top of your neighbors here. BRING YOUR BOAT Broken Bow Lake is just 5 miles away and Red Bear has covered parking with room to accommodate a boat and trailer. Pull right in, unload, and head to the lake whenever you're ready — no hunting for somewhere to park your rig. LOCATION WITHOUT THE TRADEOFF Being secluded usually means being far from everything. Red Bear threads that needle — you're in the heart of Hochatown, less than 2 miles from Beavers Bend State Park, Choctaw Landing Casino, and the area's best restaurants and breweries, while still feeling tucked away on your own private piece of land. BUILT FOR FAMILIES Every detail of this cabin was chosen with families in mind. Kids have their own space — a bunk room with a hideout nook, a game loft with an arcade unit, a playset, and lawn games along the creek. Adults have theirs — a screened porch with creek views, a soaking tub in the master, Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, and a kitchen big enough to actually cook for a group. OWNERS WHO CARE We manage this property ourselves and have maintained a 9.8 guest rating across every stay. We're not a management company — we're a family who loves this cabin and wants your experience to reflect that. The reviews speak for themselves. THE BOTTOM LINE If you're looking for a Hochatown cabin that gives your family room to spread out, easy access to everything the area offers, covered parking for your boat, and owners who are genuinely invested in your stay — Red Bear is it.
