I certainly know that there can be road noise when outside of the condo as the condo is on Seawall Boulevard - but that view? It's worth the noise, and with the $30,000 investment that the owner put into the sliding doors that block all the noise while you are inside - I think the trade-off of view is worth it and glad you enjoyed your stay.

We are certainly sorry you left such a negative review. I would like to point out that the only thing wrong with the locking mechanism was that someone in your party had adjusted it such that it would not function without a key. We are clear in our listing that we manage the condo, but not the complex. We are also very clear, three different times, regarding the parking fee. Our listing states "By the Sea charges its own parking/resort/amenity fee, which is paid directly to the complex upon arrival. This is not a fee charged by the owner or My Galveston Getaway. Current complex fees: • $37.89 per vehicle per stay, including tax — not per night. • Anything with tires counts as a vehicle, so a truck and trailer count as two vehicles.", our check-in instructions emailed to you prior to arrival state "“By The Sea Guest Rules” are provided upon arrival by the complex staff as required by the Homeowners’ Association. They charge $37.89 per vehicle for parking and beginning in September will charge a $10.83 per pet fee/pet registration fee as well. This complex accepts credit/debit cards only – not cash or personal checks." and the email that accompanied it stated "When you arrive at the complex you will stop at the front desk and pay for the parking. They will give you the parking pass" With regard to what you consider "basic items" - these are addressed, likewise, in our listing very clearly. If you have recommendations how we can make that more clear, please let us know.
