Sunday River Sanctuary is a place for you to retreat, relax, reset and have fun! In the heart of Bethel, Maine our mountain chalet getaway is a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 3 level home nestled into the trees with scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Situated on 2+ acres and located just five minutes from the historic Bethel village and ten minutes to Sunday River Resort, this home offers an escape from life or an adventure of a lifetime.
Upon driving up to this impressive chalet perched on the side of the hill, you are immediately greeted with views of Sunday River.
As you walk past the hot tub you will step into the home to unload all of your gear directly from the driveway into the huge mud room which includes built in cubbies, ski and board racks, large coat closet, and plenty of bench space to gear up/down. The mudroom opens to the finished basement featuring a pool table, big-screen TV, games and a fun hangout area for families. Also, on this level, the first of three full bathrooms (this one with laundry) and a bunk bed room with two full beds and two twin beds.
Up the stairs, the main level boasts a spacious open plan with soaring cathedral ceilings which combines the living room, kitchen and dining room spaces. This large living area features soft leather couches and chair, big screen TV, field stone gas fireplace, and a wall of glass windows which frame the breathtaking view of Sunday River and the mountains beyond.
Step outside onto the large wrap-around deck and take in the fresh mountain air and views. The deck also features a 4-burner Weber gas grill, Adirondack chairs or step in the cozy screened in porch connected to the deck. Venture into the yard and you will find a Solo-Stove fire pit set up for smore’s under the stars.
Back inside you will find a fully-equipped chef's kitchen, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, dish washer, ice maker, and local Maine coffee set up. Also, on the main floor, another full bathroom with a soaking tub and granite vanity as well as two comfortable guest bedrooms. One with a full bed and the other with two twin beds.
As you head up the stair case take a moment to stop and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains out of the wall of windows. As you step into the over-sized master suite you will find a giant cozy chair to read in, a king bed as well as another full bathroom with custom tiled walk in shower and a granite double sink vanity.
There are 3 Ring doorbells/floodlights placed at the front and back entrances to the home to view the exterior space for guest safety.
This house will not let you down! It has been meticulously maintained and is well appointed to accommodate everyone’s needs.
