Adorable, historic Tybee Cottage. Preserved by the family owners, who have kept many of the homes original structure and features!
The 700 sq ft basic beach cottage is a two block walk to the beach. Located at its"mid- Beach" location, it's perfect to access both ends of Tybee island! The home is located on a bike route, so is ideal for biking or walking. The home has a basic kitchen, with amenities including microwave and coffee maker, stove, refrigerator. No dishwasher. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed. And one with two twin beds. Bedroom with twin beds has small but ample closet. Main bedroom has garment rack area and space for luggage. Large dining counter that seats three. And table and chairs for two. Ample living room with Wi-Fi and TV with streaming available. Screen porch is all original, with original features! Perfect for cool nights to be enjoyed! No backyard access at the cottage because is occupied by back resident.

Bring Toilet Paper

Everything was great except for the one roll of paper. Luckily I was alone this trip. The cottage is cute and close to the beach. The puppy landlord was adorable.

Lovely cottage!

This cottage was very cute and clean. It had plenty of trash bags, toilet paper, etc. The only things I would change would be to add an AC in the room with the two twins beds- it got very hot in there (although to be fair we're in a heatwave!) Overall great experience and I would return!

Overall pleasant, a few minor issues

I stayed 7/22-26, 2024. The size of the house and location was perfect for myself and two small kids.Walking to the beach was not bad at all, being alone with kids and hauling a wagon of beach gear. The house is very cute, but basic and rustic.The couch isn't full size, so don't plan on anyone sleeping on it other than a small child. The bathroom is tiny, but again, worked fine for us. The downsides: I specifically chose this rental over a hotel room for the kitchen so I could cook instead of eating out. The inside of the cabinets looked as if they hadn't been checked in a long time - droppings were all over the shelves and the dishes. I had to wash everything before using it. There was a broken wine glass in the back corner from a previous guest. No coffee filters or extra trash bags, so I had to go buy both since one kitchen bag is not enough for even a small family for four days, trying to eat at home as much as possible. I left the box of coffee filters for the next guests. The photos of the property show a cute outdoor sitting area, but when I was there, a dryer was on the porch with a sign that said "Do not plug in, Do not use!" and the porch furniture is arranged in an awkward manner if you were to sit out there with others. No backyard, it's literally a yard to another house right up against the backside of the house and there's a school right next door. For the price, I'm fairly pleased, just hope management addresses the housekeeping issues and trash bag allotment.
