Just a scenic 15-minute walk away, you’ll find your private access point to the beautiful Cacapon River—ideal for swimming, fishing, tubing, or simply relaxing by the water. Whether you’re grilling out, gathering around the fire pit, or stargazing at night, this cabin offers a memorable stay surrounded by natural beauty and fresh mountain air.
The cabin includes:
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing

- Enjoy fast, reliable Frontier Fiber — perfect for streaming your favorite shows or staying connected with video calls
- Hair dryer, iron, and full bathtub -- all the essentials for your home away from home
- Wood stove to keep you cozy at night
- Outside fire pit with seating for the whole gang
- An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more!
Our cabin also has private access to the Cacapon River, just a quick 15 min walk from the cabin. It’s perfect (especially on a hot day!) for swimming, fishing, or splashing around.
Please note: Our cabin is secluded, and without cell service. While we have fast and reliable Frontier Fiber, there will always be the rare Frontier Internet outage that is beyond our control. In that case, you'll truly be "off the grid," with no cell or Internet access. This is rare, but we do ask that you plan accordingly. Also, we have plenty of board games and outdoor games to enjoy!
Also, the gravel road up to the cabin is steep in some places. We've visited many times in only our front-wheel drive car, but during the winter or after a recent rainstorm, we recommend driving an SUV/truck or four-wheel drive car.
For your safety, we have installed a security camera outside. The camera is mounted above the screen porch facing the driveway. No cameras are installed inside the cabin.
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to Berkeley Springs (a 20 min drive away). Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US, and has fantastic breweries, restaurants, and shops for you to enjoy!
Other Things to Note:
For your safety, we have installed a security camera outside. The camera is mounted above the screen porch facing the driveway. There are no cameras installed inside the cabin.

It’s a peaceful place in the woods. The hot tub was great, and with the provided kitchenware and space we were able to make our own meals. Perfect for a slow, outdoorsy getaway to unwind and reflect.

The cabin was very worn and had a musty odor to it. The heater in bathroom was a part and laying on the floor. Just dark and dingy the deck was unkempt. The hot tub was filthy There was trash laying outside A big disappointment for what you pay!
Went to the cabin looking for a peaceful escape to disconnect and it did not disappoint. So happy this listing was pup-friendly, we loved seeing our city dog thrive in the mountains.

The property is truely away from it all. If you like rustic- this is your place. It was clean and comfortable with all the basics. The beds were very comfortable.I personally feel that the space could use some updating The fire pit was very nice. The road access is intimidating. Fortunately we had good weather, however, the road was narrow, steep and rutted by the rain. We had a 4WD and burned out several times going up to the cabin-not their fault, it is the territory. Tony and his team were very attentive and quickly responded. We were looking for a getaway and this was exactly what we got. It is very quiet . We even got to see some turkeys.
We had to change the property we stayed at after the first nigh, since the original property did not have internet or cell signal. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive in finding another cabin for us to stay. The cabin itself was wonderful and the scenery was beautiful! Our dog loved sitting on the patio and listening to the birds. Highly recommend anything owned by Blue Maple!

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
We were very dissapointed. From the outside, the screened in porch needs repaired, holes everywhere, leaves and old cobwebs had not been swept out, chairs were filthy. Hot tub was dirty with dirt/sand in the bottom of it so we didnt get to use it. From the inside, kitchen counter looked clean until we wiped it off, stove and microwave were greasy. In the bathroom, commode seat wasnt attached and the baseboard heater was broke and unsafe. The curtains in the living room needed washed and the walls looked like someone tried to wipe them down. This cabin needs to be deep cleaned and a lot of maintenance. I know it is a cabin in the woods but I have never rented a cabin that was in this condition. We rented it for 4 days but left after the first night because my husband felldown the stone steps because of poor lighting and no handrails. We complained and sent pictures. Went to the ER the next day. No refund.
The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We explored, played games, read books and just relaxed. The property was very pretty and our dogs loved the huge yard. The owner was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We can’t wait to return.
Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and River Pines Retreat in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
