The property is pet friendly yet there is no grassy area for your dog to potty. Very frustrating. Also if you’d like to unpack your suitcase don’t stay here. There are no dressers. The closets are tiny and in the three bedrooms combined there were three hangers. Good location
Our fireplace didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it so we were disappointed in that. The porch was very trashy looking. Felt like I was at a motel 6. The owner could do a little more with furniture on the porch. The person doing their cleaning needs to do a little better. Dust everywhere and the toilets needed attention. Also seemed like there was not enough sitting room for 6 people. We did like the location.
We enjoyed our trip immensely! My family, along with two other couples took a trip over the New Year’s holiday and stayed at Bear Cove cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated that this cabin was centrally located right off the Gatlinburg strip, and was conveniently close to restaurants and any other necessities. The cabin was well stocked with living essentials, clean and tidy. The only suggestion I would make for those looking to book would be that while the cabin states it sleeps eight, which it does comfortably, the common areas are small and cramped with not sufficient seating.
If I were just rating the cabin it would be higher, it was would have been exactly what we were wanting for our trip to Gatlinburg. The photos and advertising left out the fact that a huge condo is going up 100 feet from the back patio. We were woken up to the sound of saws, hammers and workers cussing at each other. I have a three year old daughter that I couldn’t let go outside because of the things these construction workers were yelling at each other.
It tried reaching out to the management company but the concerns and was ignored, this is not a quiet mountain retreat. Don’t waste your money, find one that has reviews, my mistake for taking the chance on a listing that wasn’t reviewed yet.
I have a photo that I planned on sharing with the review of the whole right side of the house that was left out, there is a reason there isn’t photos of the view off the balcony.
