Spent 4nights at “The Honey Hive”in Rockaway Beach, MO. It’s a small quiet community in the Branson area. We met the hostess, Sam, was very attentive and accommodating, asked multiple times if we needed anything. She was busy cleaning the pool to open it for the season. We enjoyed the fact it was only a 20 minute drive to Silver Dollar City, the Branson Landing and not getting caught up in the congestion of Branson. Not to mention that it is a short distance to Lake Tankeycomo. Was able to throw a line in and catch a few fish will there. Will definitely book our future trips to the Branson area at the “Honey Hive”. There are several other rental cottages at “Rockaway Rentals” in Rockaway Beach, MO. Sam is an excellent hostess. Thank you Sam for the wonderful hospitality.
We couldn’t find the remote to the air unit in the dinning room but honestly it wasn’t a big deal. It was a cute place the only thing that remotely bothered me was the curtain on the front door. You could see clearly through the place from the front door. But it was very quiet and peaceful.
Perfect getaway to reconnect and recharge. Be sure to stop by JuJu's snack shack just around the corner. Yummy donuts is worth the short drive into Forsythe for delicious pastries. Comfy house, great scenery, and good food!
We really enjoyed this super cute little cabin and it is one of the cleanest rentals we've ever visited. One perk for us was the quiet location still near all that the area has to offer. We will be back!
The Hive was absolutely perfect for a couples getaway. The place was very nice and clean in a cute, safe area. It was all so welcoming and there were plenty of things to do all around! My now fiancé proposed to me during our stay and the Hive made our stay so much better! We couldn’t be happier and are excited to return in the future!
Cute cottage design outside. Nice decorative lighting, inside and outside. Cozy seating indoors. I particularly liked the breakfast nook. It's small but very functional. It's all one to two people need for a very comfortable stay.
We pulled up to an adorable little cabin but were a bit disappointed when we walked in as it hadn’t been cleaned … spoke to the host and she was more than embarrassed and apologetic and sent her cleaning crew right away … after that everything was terrific … we really enjoyed staying in a little place with no one around. We will definitely be going back there again!
This was the cutest lil cabin. The decor was adorable. The bed was so comfy. Loved staying here. The only thing to watch out for is the lock on the door. You have to open it a lil for the dead bolt to catch. Other than that perfect.
The stay was good, talk to the cleaning lady she informed us how to get in, etc.
The cleaning lady was very nice, it was comfortable, It was hard to control the air conditioner. We did not need it as cold as it was. We are in our 80s and we kept it at 75 bedroom air conditioner did not have any controls. It was a good stay.

RUN Down area & spiders everywhere.
The photos of the property look nice BUT
The area is really run down, peeling paint, structures falling down, it looks like a ghost town. The surrounding buildings on the property have boards covering the windows. There was zero view of the lake from the property it is not close like the photos or map make it seem.
Even the lake area looks run down, the marina was falling apart too the town has definitely seen better days.
The inside of the unit was decorated nicely. But there are exposed electrical boxes in the ceiling in the living room and bedroom.
The bathroom outlet was hanging out if the wall.
Paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling because theres no air vent.
There were several living spiders in the corners of the bedroom ceilings. My husband was looking at the kitchen and there was a living spider in the silverware drawer with his web. A brown recluse on the ceiling in the living room.
The front door of the property was glass and the unit has tons of windows. Theres no view of anything except a large rv and other rundown houses. A neighbor was yelling outside for 30 minutes at a dog or something and we could hear him inside the unit. We did not sleep in the unit & decided to find another place to stay.
If you are looking for a cute little cabin where you can walk to the lakefront and have a slice of pizza from a pizza place this isn't it.
Everything about this made us want to run away.
We wanted to love it, we just couldnt.
