Quite cabin feel. Great view of Cherokee Lake from our large wood deck. Beside the Gilmore Dock Marina with Public Boat Ramp access, Boat Rentals, Gasoline, and Snacks. Walking distance to Cherokee Lake. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge only an hour away. Come stay for awhile enjoy some peace and quite, and take in a beautiful Cherokee Lake sunset!

Property was just as I expected. It’s in a quite private spot in the far back. There are neighbors but it’s still quiet. Nice view of the lake and within walking distance. When I come out again I’ll look to grab this spot again.

Beautiful, Quiet, Comfortable

Such a fun stay. We brought our kayak and canoe. The place had everything we needed and it was very comfortable. We loved the location. The owners are very responsive. It’s small, but perfect for just two of us. Went to hear live music at the Dock, fished and found a place to swim via our canoe. Thanks for a great stay.

Small little cabin. Water view. Beautiful quiet lake. Bed slept fine. Window ACs could keep the space very chilled. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Could even put an air mattress in the loft for the kids if you wanted.

Second time staying here. Great place for 2 or for a small family. Host is awesome, easy check-in, great communication, and bed is very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again! Can see the water and marina from cozy porch too.

Home is well organized and comfortable. Large deck for gathering. I hope we will be back in the near future. I would recommend getting a grill for the deck.

The place was a little small for our taste but we did the best we could do was clean a little problem with ants in the bathroom parking was on a steep hill didn’t like that other than that it was ok thanks again for your hospitality

May 15 getaway

Found the property easily, no issue with getting the door unlocked. Cabin was fairly clean, a few cobwebs in the corners but otherwise nice. Lamp in the bedroom needed a new bulb and the overhead fluorescent light is slow to respond. Couch is in need of a good cleaning or replacing. We enjoyed our stay very much and would do it again.

Not what we expected and had no communication from owner

We arrived and easily accessed the home. Instantly we smelt a strong odor of musty and possible cigarette smoke. Upon looking around we found numerous dead flies in the bathroom floor (20-30) and several dead roaches. The home just felt 'dirty'. We immediately exited the home and locked it up. We were lucky enough to find another home to rent although it was only available through Saturday, so we had to cut our trip short. I emailed the host that evening explaining the situation and asked for consideration for a refund. I have not heard anything at this point. I plan on trying to reach out to VRBO and see what recourse I may have. My friend and I knew the place was not going to be pristine, but honestly we were not at all comfortable staying there.

Perfect for us

This little cabin was wonderful! Bed was very comfortable and there was a TV in the bedroom as well as in the living area. Except for some up high cobwebs that I used the broom to get rid of EVERYTHING was clean and as advertised. Two cute lofts (one had a mattress, the other didn't) and a pull out bed love seat would make it great for a small family as well. The porches were awesome with chairs and rocking chairs and tables and the neighborhood was very quiet. We could see the main water through the trees since they weren't full, but even in the summer you would have a view of the cove and the boat docks at Gilmore dock. The driveway is a little steep so we couldn't park the boat at the house but there were spaces not far away by the boat ramp that were easy to use so we left our boat there when not in use with no problems. Could fit two vehicles easily in front of the cabin. Communication with the owner was great and we had our code to get in long before check-in time. Super easy checkout as well. Had coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and stove that all seemed to be in great condition (but we didn't actually use the stove) and a good supply of kitchen items. Would definitely stay here again!

Weary

it was clean, but we did not receive the code until after our 4 check in time. The first night it got cold and there was no source of heat or additional blankets. I had to purchase a small heater. The power strip to plug in coffee pot and microwave did not work. Took my husband 2 days to figure it out. We unplugged it and put it by the door. We were afraid to leave it plugged in. It wasn't terrible but a few thing's need to be addressed. I did not expect the Ritz but I did expect basic creature comforts to be met!
