Why they chose this property
This quaint district is generally not a main stop for first-time tourists here for few hours, being slightly off the “beaten track”, so get ready to experience the true taste of Florentine life with the abundance of quaint artisan studios, local shops and traditional “botteghe”, not to mention the cosy and select restaurants, vibrant and intimate wine bars scattered amongst charming piazzas. Wherever your wandering may take you in San Frediano, be sure to leave time to slow down and savor the experience - you will soon feel like a resident rather than a tourist. However, all still within close walking distance is also Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Pitti, Piazza della Signoria and the central Santa Maria Novella station but also top artistic attractions such as Brancacci Chapel, best known for its masaccio frescoes. The apartment is located just outside the restricted traffic zone, making it easier for those coming to Florence by car.
