Great location a short walk from Main Street for coffee, restaurants, and bars. Cabin was comfortable and quiet with plenty of bedding options across the three floors. Perfect for a weekend away where you want a full cabin experience but also want easy access to food and entertainment
Our 6th annual family trip was a success! The property fit us all nicely, plenty of room to spread out, close walk to downtown (if you don't kind the hills), had everything we needed (a few more towels) would have been nice, but it does have laundry so that was helpful.
Beautiful, rustic and just what we needed. The layout was perfect for 3 generations. Location was perfect. Privacy, yet walking distance to everything, very little traffic passing the cabin which made it great! Would love to stay here again
Overall our Family Trip to Helen was Great! The dishwasher had a leaking problem so did not use it.The pool table is old and the two main rails are dead. Grand-kids lover sleeping in loft and house was very convenient to town.
This place was in a great spot for an event that was going on in town. The road up to the cabin is kind of narrow but the whole thing is paved which is nice & you're a stones throw from town. The parking pad is larger than what it looks like in the pictures. The place is also bigger than it looks in pictures. It's a very cool spot. Our favorite area was the kitchen table as it was big enough for everyone to sit around for meals or playing games. Most of the bathrooms had good lighting.
Location is excellent. I barely used my car, what is very convenient for those that drive all day long. Wifi was not working due to rain but since we were looking for vacation w/o phones or internet it was not a problem. Enough bathrooms beds and space.
Not as large as the pictures make it feel like. It was a great place though. Super cute.
No fire burning area outside which was a let down. Who camps in a cabin in the woods and doesnāt at least want to attempt to roast marshmallows?
We picked this location because we rented this exact same house about 25 years ago for a family trip. We knew we liked the location and the ease to walk to all the action and it would be large enough for us. It was a very nostalgic trip & the house really hasnāt changed much since that first visit. We were a little disappointed that despite 2 phone calls to management, no one ever came to get the 2 fireplaces working as we really were looking forward to football in front of the fire.
The cabin was great. The six of us had more than enough room and were very comfortable.Only a couple of matters you might want to address. Bathroom sinks drain very very slowly, several light bulbs need replacing, especially the ones in the closets and over the washer and dryers. I do think if a person stays for four days one towel per person is not enough, perhaps one towel for every two days would be better.

Cleanings
Cabin was not really clean, spider webs in bathrooms. Floors not really clean. After using my cleaning supplies it was ok š
The cabin was just as described, and is close enough to town that you can walk there. We had 6 adults and 5 younger kids and there was plenty of sleeping room. The cabin was clean, and it looked just like the pictures. The only thing that we didn't care for is the A/C. The air temp was in the low 80s while we were there, so not very hot, but the A/C can only be set to 73. We like it cooler while we sleep, but couldn't keep the windows open due to allergies, so it was a bit stuffy on the upper floors. The basement bedroom area has its own A/C, so it stayed cool down there. Overall a very nice, rustic cabin, though.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were a few drawbacks. The property lacks lighting. The rooms are very dark due to all the wood paneling. If the shower curtain on the upper level is not just right the shower leaks to the bedroom below. The key for the house is upstairs off the deck and the key only works that door. It would be nice to have a key to the lower door as that is the most convenient entrance. The road to the property is a one lane road. If you meet another car from the opposite direction, one of you will have to back up or find a spot to pull over. While the house is within walking distance of Helen, the road is not safe for walking on especially at night.
The cabin was roomy and cozy at the same time. All amenities were provided, pots and pans, towels, washer and dryer, etc. The location was close to town, but removed enough you were away from the hustle and bustle while at the cabin. Our family enjoyed our stay!
Overall my friends and I had an amazing stay at this cabin. Walking distance down the hill right into the heart of Helen! Which was incredibly convenient. The cabin is very spacious and we enjoyed the hot tub & fireplace. This cabin is owned by a property management so be sure to bring your own supplies like coffee filters for example. The only issue we had was in the upstairs loft area my friends noticed a large rodent crawling on the rafters in the middle of the night that ended up falling onto the floor and scaring them ( which ended up being a funny story and memory for us ) and we still have no idea what it actually was, and a lot of the light bulbs around the house were blown out. But other than that we had no complaints. Would love to visit this cabin again in the future!
