Welcome to Hale Lio Kai! Home of the Seahorse, translated in Hawaiian. Absolutely incredible home built in 2015, this is an incredible option for your Vacation.
Enjoy incredible amenities such as a beautiful 5 foot deep salt water pool & hot tub!

Hale Lio Kai is located at a comfortable elevation with amazing cross breezes. You'll notice this home is only a 10-15 minute drive from the best beaches on the Island, & incredibly close to Kona Airport as well.

There is a generous amount of living space, a desirable floor plan, and two cozy lanais with 180-degree ocean & sunset views.

Enjoy 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms at this spectacular property. The House can comfortably sleep 7 people, maximum.

The Bed Configuration is as follows:
The Master Bedroom has a King Sized Bed
The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen Sized Bed
The 3rd Bedroom has a Bunk Bed, where a Twin Sized Mattress is on top, and a Full Sized Mattress is on the bottom.

After 7 full days of driving the Big Island seeing all the sights, swimming with Mantas and eating Malasadas from Tex’s, we enjoyed 4 wonderful days laying by the pool at HALE LIO KAI. The hot tub was divine. Beds were comfortable, sunsets so beautiful! Highly recommended.

An incredible home with beautiful views

We were very impressed with this incredible home. It had everything our family of three needed, from a very well appointed kitchen to space to spread out to a great pool and hot tub.The neighborhood was quiet and we felt secluded on a mountainside with a view of the ocean. We watched the sunrise enjoying the sounds of nature and watched the sunset from the hot tub. The home is close to several grocery stores and downtown Kona, and it was easy to zip to other places on the island to explore.The home is well decorated, comfortable and clean.Thank you for an incredible place to call home during our trip!

So sorry about the hot water! It’s a solar water heater, And we had no idea how you didn’t have a hot water the entire time you were there. We’ve been happy to open up the garage to turn the lever manually to engage hot water since it was raining.

Great House on the Hill

Kona Hillside

This location is convenient especially to the airport. The sunset view is definitely the best feature of this . The layout of the house is a bit awkward as the only way to access the pool or hot tub is through the downstairs bathrooms. The saltwater pool is refreshing. The beach gear is ok, good umbrella and chairs, the boogie boards worn out. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, many spices, no coffee or laundry soap, limited paper products. The upstairs lanai with the custom table definitely the place to hang out.

Holy WOW

Overview: this house was perfect for our week's stay in Kona. Our group had five people, and the house was big enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Plus, having a pool and hot tub already at the house is fantastic if you want a lazy day, which we took advantage of. There were several reviews regarding the lack of air conditioning and the chickens, but neither bothered our group. The only thing that did was the neighbor's dog, who would bark at all hours of the day. It made sitting outside by the pool not always as enjoyable. But overview, this place was excellent, and I would recommend this house to anyone staying in Kona.

Great View!

The place was sparkling clean and *extremely* well equipped. They even had toys and books, which my kids (ages 6-12) enjoyed a lot. The pool and tub were great, especially since all the nice beaches (at least those that we liked) are not close by. The best part was the view from the top balcony! The pictures on this site should have captured it better :) I’m happy to report that there was no noise from the airport and we mainly heard nature noises (birds, chickens, etc). The management company was *great*, extremely responsive and very helpful. My only advice: check with the managers on the availability of parking space if you plan to arrive with a big car or 2 cars.

Peaceful and Amazing Views

What a great home! The first night we got there we thought it might be an issue to not have AC as it was a bit warm but once we opened all the windows and let the amazing big island breeze blow through it was perfect. The house is in impeccable condition and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed all the pictures and woodwork. You will not find a place with the kind of unobstructed views this house has. It’s sits high up on the mountain. While it’s conveniently located to the airport you don’t hear any of the airline traffic. The pool is gorgeous and immaculately maintained as was the hot tub. My only suggestion would be to add another seating option in the living room aside from the dining chairs. The nature sounds and the roosters were just an added reminder of the paradise we were in. The property managers were great and the app my it super easy to check in and check out. Thanks again. We will look to rent it again for sure!!!

The home was very clean inside and out, had high quality furniture, and a comfortable master bed. The kitchen was stocked with a wide variety of cookware and spices. While it was pretty warm during our visit, every window had screens on it and each room had an overhead fan to cool down. The pool was great and we loved that it was saltwater. The property felt private even though it was in a neighborhood. There were wild chickens roaming the property, a lot of birds, and other wildlife. It really felt as if we were in a tropical paradise. The home had several helpful resources and a guidebook they enhanced our experience on the island. It was an amazing stay and we hope to return! I cannot say enough great things about our experience.

Perfect Location..

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a wonderful stay at this house. It is in the perfect location to get around the island. The house is nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well enough to cook meals at the house. We did contact the management company a couple times during our stay and they were quick to deal with our requests. While there were a couple of coolers it would have also been nice to have a thermos to take to the beach. The house did have pool/beach towels but I think it may be time to replace them. It also may be time to replace the umbrella by the pool as with all the rips and tears its not really usable. The house does not have A/C but this was not a problem for us since we were there in March. We had the windows open the entire time and the house stay cool enough. The roosters that live around the house wake up very early so I would suggest bringing EARPLUGS if you want to be able to stay asleep! All in all we enjoyed our time and would definitely stay at this house again.
