Put your feet up & relax, as you listen to the breeze, birds, cicada & frogs depending on the time of day. Enjoy peaceful sounds & views of nature while being close to all the area has to offer. The completely remodeled property is located less than 5 miles from the Daniel Boone National Forrest & Big Southfork National River & Recreation area for those who enjoy hiking, canoeing, & kayaking or just being outdoors. Historic Stearns with the Scenic Railway & Golfing is less than 3 miles away.

Residence is at the end of a paved road with plenty of privacy and wildlife viewing.

There are 2 fields behind this property for a total of 7.77 acres that you are welcome to explore.

There is a fresh water well in the front yard does have nice spring water with a well bucket and rope so you can experience what it used to be like to draw water from a well prior to indoor plumbing. Since the well cap doesn’t fit tightly there could be some slugs/bugs in the well water, so drinking is not recommended.

The road “Childers Ridge” that you drove in on is a nice place to take a walk but do be observant for the occasional traffic.

There are some grilling utensils on the porch in the wooden cabinet. Wood and seating for the fire pit is provided to help you enjoy the peaceful night sounds in the country..

Leave slept in beds unmade & used linens, blankets/throws on beds. Place keys back lock box at departure.

Romantic Getaway

This house is the perfect location for a romantic getaway. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay! The decor inside is gorgeous and the property is great for taking walks and enjoying the outdoors. The house was stocked with snacks, special gifts and lots of homey touches making this a wonderful home away from home. We give this property 5 stars!

Would be hard to find a more peaceful quiet area that is still not far from gas, groceries, restaurants and local attractions.

What makes this property unique

End of road residence, frequent visits from deer and occasional bears. Nice extras that are provided, salt, pepper, cooking oil, a few snacks, bottled waters, coffees/creamers, in season hot chocolate, smores, firewood. Also puzzles, board games and an outdoor corn toss for guest use available.
