SEMI-OCEANFRONT – Resort Rodanthe, Unit 9B – Set your sights on a glorious beach getaway at SEA SITE HEIGHTS, a two-bedroom/two-bathroom condo with easy access to the sandy shore of the Atlantic Ocean. Perfect for a small family, this condo has all the space you need to settle in for a relaxing stay. A master queen bedroom and a bedroom with two twin beds each has access to a full ensuite bath. Both bedrooms feature a flat-screen TV. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room, along with a large flat-screen TV and access to a furnished deck revealing those money-shot ocean views. A well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals that can be enjoyed either at the eat-at counter, family-style around a six-seat dining table or at a four-seat table on the private deck. Other amenities available to Resort Rodanthe guests include an elevator, picnic area with tables and charcoal grills, outdoor showers, a wide boardwalk to the beach and a large swimming pool. We had a wonderful week. The condo was great. It was everything we hoped for in accommodations. The only complaint we have was the fish wasn’t too cooperative. Guess they were worried about the upcoming storm too. Thanks for everything.

Super clean!!!

We had a wonderful time here! One of the cleanest we’ve stayed in! Very comfy and cozy. The dishwasher door opens really low so watch out for your feet! The view was good! Great quiet area!!!

Will book again!

This was one of the cleanest places we've stayed in the Outer Banks. The ocean view was better than the picture showed. Loved having the elevator, and easy walk to the beach. The pool was clean with a beautiful deck. Surf or Sound made checkin easy. We even received a warning about potential flooding with link to weather statement and what to do. Well done! We will be back!

Issue with Elevator

Condo was fine however we selected this property based on wife hip surgery issue requiring an elevator - on Thursday (out of Sat -Sat stay) one elevator quit. I called Sun-Surf, spoke with someone, reported the concern and was told she sent maint. a note, and someone would advise. The second elevator and only other one didn't work on Saturday so the many trips from 3rd floor with all of our stuff and her hip was VERY difficult - I saw not less than three other sets of older people struggling - I never heard from anyone - I texted Ally about this twice on Thursday and never heard back.

Mixed Emotions

The condo itself was more than adequate for us. It was extremely clean when we arrived. I called the rental company to alert them to a safety hazard with the rear balcony railing. It had loose and missing spindles and top board on railing was lifting away from bottom portion. No one was sent to inspect. The beach area was littered with debris and the beach, because of erosion, was not enjoyable. We went down the street to the public beach access which was beautiful. The pool, which we all enjoyed, was well maintained and clean. The overall condition of the complex was lacking. It’s an older condo and could use some cleaning and sprucing up. The elevator for our section was out of service until our last day. My husband who has mobility issues had a difficult time navigating the stairs. I did call the property manager(not rental agency) and she told us to use the elevator in the section next to ours. A bit of a walk but easier than stairs. She was pleasant and helpful. Will I go back to this unit…. No. Will I return to the outer banks…you bet I will!
