This charming beach home is located in quaint Turtle Beach on a quiet corner lot just 50 yds. from the beach and neighborhood pool. The small cul de sac of Victorian homes, white picket fences and bike paths runs right next to the beach and is convenient to restaurants at The Sanctuary and Tomassos at Turtle Point Golf Club. The Marketplace, tennis courts, Night Heron Park / Nature Center are a short bike ride away. The only real ' traffic 'to speak of , are bike riders, making it particularly appealing to families with little ones.
The large front porch offers ocean breezes and the sound of waves crashing . There is plenty of comfortable seating, a table for eating or working, and a hammock for relaxing. It is sunny in the morning & shady in the afternoon .
Double doors open to the living room, with new Miles Talbott furniture; cable/DVD TV, and a fireplace for cool nights. There are books, games and puzzles to entertain. The dining room, off the kitchen , features a cherry and wrought iron dining set and doors opening to screened porch . The fully equipped kitchen , with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances is well stocked with plenty of counter-space for cooking.
Across the back of the house is a quiet screened in porch with lovely views of the 'Green', plenty of comfortable seating and ceiling fans keep you cool year round.
The outdoor shower area may contai beach chairs and Boogy boards for your enjoyment. Beach towels are also provided.
The private neighborhood pool is a 2 min walk.
The 5 star Sanctuary Hotel, just a stones throw away, offers many fine restaurants and Spa services.
Turtle Point Golf course is up the street and the tennis courts, Night Heron Park and The Nest Eatery is just a short bike ride away.
Several great restaurants and shops just up the road at Freshfields Village.
Historic Charleston is a short 40 min drive.

I’ve always wanted to stay in this neighborhood and this home didn’t disappoint. Even with a little rain we had a super time. A wonderful family home with plenty of room and just a minute walk to the beach. We had a lovely time and will definitely rent again!

A Great Kiawah Experience

This property was incredible. Everything was top-notch and the location can't be beat. The owners were very easy to communicate with and the amenities at the house made our stay very comfortable. There were good starter supplies (and more) with a well-equipped kitchen. We spent a lot on the front and back porch when we weren't at the beach or pool (a 3 minute walk to either). All in all, this was the best property we have stayed in over our eight trips to Kiawah. We hope to visit again soon!

Perfect home for our extended family week

Our extended family of ten spent Thanksgiving week at this cozy, charming beach house and had an awesome time. The owners were easy to work with, answered all our questions and made the rental process effortless. The house and its location were exactly as they portray on the website. The flow of the house worked well for our family. The master bedroom is located on one side of the home and the other two bedrooms are located on the opposite side. This gave the families some distance when needed and also privacy. The open concept flow of the house works well with the kitchen being tucked around a corner. This offers some noise buffer form the living room but also allows those in the kitchen, and dining room to remain involved with family and friends in the living area. While the dining table is small for a group of 10, the dining area itself is large. A large breakfast bars does offer additional seating. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, serving pieces, and dinner ware. Linens are also stocked well. The house has two porches, one in the front and one in the back. From the front porch you can relax and feel the ocean breezes and hear the waves. It’s a very relaxing spot with plenty of seating for conversations, reading or a cup of coffee. There is also a table with seats for 4 for games or eating. Many members of our family particularly enjoyed the hammock and the naps it offered each day. The back porch overlooks the shared green space and gazebo. This porch offers some privacy and plenty of room and seating for great conversation. A small fridge is also provided for additional beverage storage. Our family has been coming to Kiawah for many years during the summer but also wanted to try it during the fall/winter months. Kiawah is different that time of year and this was the house to enjoy it in. Our family would rent this home again for summer or fall/winter.

Our Happy Place

Kiawah has been our family's 'happy place' for over 20 years and Atlantic Beach Court is our new favorite sanctuary on the island. This home is so convenient to the beach with a beachwalk starting with a few feet of the residence. The court itself is very private with little traffic. The home is perfect for spreading out and enjoying your own space - be it inside or on one of the two porches. The highlight of our time at home was discovering a newly born fawn nestled in the back yard one morning, and enjoying the frequent casual meandering of deer in the yard. We look forward to returning again.

Great Kiawah house

We stayed in this lovely Kiawah house for a week with our 2 adult kids. We hadn't stayed in this part of Kiawah before, but the location was great -- right across from a beach access. The house is very comfortable and nicely decorated, the kitchen is well-stocked, and there are plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, and a couple of boogie boards. We also liked having a nice front porch and a back screen porch. Our week turned out to be the week of Tropical Storm Debby, so 3 of our 6 days had heavy rain and winds. Tish Miller, the owner, was very communicative and helpful (including before we arrived). She let us know what needed to be secured (the rocking chairs on the front porch), reassured us that they'd never lost power in the 12 years they've owned the house, and shared helpful updates she was receiving from the town of Kiawah. During the storm, we had a lovely house in which we could play games, watch the Olympics, read, etc. And fortunately we also had 3 days to enjoy the house and location as an actual beach house.

Couldn’t ask for more than this perfectly located, private, bright and airy home. The house was clean and equipped with all the basics you need to enjoy an elongated stay. Hosts were extremely communicative. We will certainly look to rent here again.

Perfect low country home in Kiawah

Wonderful experience. Good and timely communication with owner. The house is beyond adorable, especially loved sitting on the screened in porch in the evening. The proximity to beach could not be better, a charming 2 minute stroll through a path lined with oaks, until you reach the spectacular water vista. Great beach for walking, especially at sunset. Husband loved golfing at Turtle Point and Osprey, and the 45 minute drive into Charleston was easy. We can’t wait to come back!

Rarely do you find such a beautiful spacious beach where you can spread out & not overhear others conversation, find Sand Dollars & Starfish, and ride your bike for miles. One of us can often be heard saying 'It doesn't get any better than this ' ! We love to ride the waves on Boogie Boards, ( There is NO undertow ) bike ride on trails and the beach, shop at Freshfields Village and get ice cream at the Sanctuary !

We chose Kiawah Island because of it’s natural beauty, friendly people, spacious beach, endless bike paths, opportunity for tennis and golf and proximity to Historic Charleston.

What makes this property unique

We purchased this beautiful property on July 1, 2013. We love to sit in the Rockers or in the Hammock on the porch -reading, chatting, playing scrabble or just listening to the Ocean. The Village at Turtle Beach was the only neighborhood we considered after 12 years in Tennis Club. We wanted more space, but were not willing to give up all the conveniences of East Beach . We were spoiled, having had the beach, pool, The Sanctuary, Golf course, tennis courts and bike paths all in our backyard. We can't wait to spend more time at Turtle Beach.!
