About the host

Hi, We’re Rory + Jason. We grew up in northern MA and suburban NYC respectively. We're currently living in beautiful Newburyport, MA after spending two decades in Boston. We have vacation rental properties in New Hampshire and in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

We are one of the very few 34x Vrbo Premier Hosts! We take our role as your hosts very seriously.

Why they chose this property

We purchased Nimue's Cottage at Baxter Lake in 2021 and own multiple properties at Baxter Lake. We live in Newburyport, but have been vacationing in New Hampshire at Baxter Lake for many years. In fact, our family members retired right down the street from Nimue's Cottage!

Baxter Lake is close enough from Boston for a quick 90 minute drive up after work, but it's a world away from the city. No light pollution, clean air, quiet and tranquil, Nimue's Cottage at Baxter Lake is the perfect escape for a long weekend, or a full week's vacation in the summer.

KEY FEATURES:
☀ Bright and stylish, with multiple sky lights and ample interior lighting
☀ 2 Bedrooms; 1 queen, 1 twin/full bunk
☀ Pull-out sofa with queen bed
☀ Spacious bathroom with tub
☀ Fully-equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils and kitchenware
☀ Large Smart TV enabled w/ Hulu, Netflix + Premium cable
☀ High-speed WiFi
☀ Large private patio w/ outdoor dining table + BBQ grill
☀ 4-5 minute walk to Baxter Lake beachfront with boat launch
☀ Dog-friendly
☀ Single-level ranch with 1,000 square feet of comfortable living space

What makes this property unique

Nimue's Cottage is a destination unto itself, but also close enough to grocery stores, hardware stores, craft stores, and restaurants (15 minutes away), skiing (45 minutes away), and day trips under an hour (Ogunquit, Dover, Portsmouth, Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee, Maine, Outlet Shopping).

We escape the city for our home in the woods as often as possible, but we also love sharing our home with responsible families and groups of friends who will treat our home respectfully.

Nimue's Cottage is the perfect four-season getaway, with great insulation and heating for the winter, and central A/C for the summer.

We designed Nimue's Cottage with families in mind, and we understand that some families might have a few extra kids, so we do have a pull-out couch in case you need extra space.

If you're traveling with two couples, please keep in mind that one bedroom has a queen bed, and the other has bunk beds, twin on top (200 pound weight limit on the top bunk) and full down below.

Oh, and you're probably wondering about the name Nimue.

All of the roads at our community - Lancelot Shores - are named after characters from King Arthur and Arthurian Legend.

Nimue is the Lady of the Lake - a fitting name for our charming lake home!

State of New Hampshire Meals & Rentals Tax Operator's License No. is 102815.
