Everything was great with the place clean and comfy. Just a suggestion maybe have a portable wagon you could carry your stuff to the house since you do have to park away from the cabin.

Thank you for your kind review! I’m so glad to hear you found the cabin clean and comfortable and that you enjoyed your stay.
I also appreciate the helpful suggestion about having a portable wagon for transporting items from the parking area. That’s a great idea and something I’ll definitely consider adding to make things even more convenient for future guests.

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! 🌟 I’m truly grateful that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated all the details we’ve added to make the cabin feel like a home away from home. Hearing that the lake view and amenities exceeded your expectations means the world to me! 🏡💦
You were such a pleasure to host, and I’d be honored to welcome you back anytime for another relaxing getaway!
Comfortable place to stay with nice surroundings. We had hoped for shore fishing access and didn’t have that option though, as the water was very low with a lot of vegetation and the ground was so muddy it was not possible to reach the water’s edge without sinking. The are two cabins in close proximity and an RV as well, but we didn’t encounter others very often. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and the porch and swing were nice.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience! 🌿 I’m glad you found the cabin clean, comfortable, and relaxing, the porch swing is one of our favorite spots too.
Regarding the lake access, you are absolutely right, Texas (and much of the southern region) is currently experiencing significant drought conditions. This has caused water levels to drop well below normal across many lakes in the state, including ours. Unfortunately, this also leads to exposed vegetation and softer ground near the shoreline, which can make shore fishing more difficult at certain times of year.
We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll visit again when the lake levels recover, it’s a completely different scene when the water returns to its full beauty. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us! 🌸
Thank you Diane so much for your review! We’re delighted to hear you found our place very clean and super cute. We take great pride in creating a welcoming, cozy environment for our guests. If there’s anything we could do to make your experience even better, please feel free to let us know. We’d love to host you again soon!
Beautifully decorated and very clean cottage. Small space but everything was in place and everything you could possibly need. Host was very responsive through the app and check-in and check-out was very easy. The outdoor area was also very well thought out. Great property and we would definitely stay again!

I aim to create a seamless experience for my guests, so it’s great to know I hit the mark for you. You’re always welcome back anytime you need a relaxing getaway!
We have friends that have a Lakehouse nearby. We were invited with a large group and it was not comfortable for all of us to stay at their house so we leased this VRBO in the area. We were able to have a nice place to stay, have coffee in the morning, and shower with the ease of a 10 minute drive to the Lakehouse. The property was also very clean and quiet.

We had a long weekend of crappie fishing! This little cabin in the woods was so relaxing! No boats zooming around in the lake, no traffic! Just peace! Pam was very responsive and so nice! Our coffee pot broke the first day we were there, she had a new one delivered to us by the time we got back from our fishing trip! Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Stephanie,
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled to hear you had such a peaceful and relaxing weekend of crappie fishing. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and I’m so glad we could quickly get that new coffee pot to you so you could enjoy your mornings. Your recommendation to friends and family means the world to me! I would love to welcome you back anytime for another quiet getaway at the cabin.
Nice property and cabins. Nicely decorated, new and very nice buildings, and has all the amenities you'd like. Water access is good, but if water is down it might be too shallow. Great area, easy to access. The hill down to the water is steep, so be aware and plan accordingly.
Best ramp is Shirley Creek - GPS might tell you to turn right out of property to get there - don't, it is a dirt road with lots of loose, deep sandy areas. Go back to 103 and proceed from there.

This was such an awesome stay! The home had everything we needed to have a stress free weekend, out in the country and relax. You do have a bit of a walk to the house from the parking area (not a big deal but it is on uneven ground) and also a very very steep walk down to the water side. This is just for others information. Not a complaint from me! In case you have elderly or not as mobile guests. The two units are so super cute and it looks like more might come in the future! Just a wonderful place to stay and we will 100% be back!

Thanks so much for taking the time to review your stay at the cabin. Yes, we are in the process of expanding and will be addding cabins 3 & 4 in the near future. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We would love to host you again in the future!
Pam
The cabin was clean and very nice for what it is. Full kitchen with dishes. Nice sitting areas inside and out. Only issues we had was the charging plugs. There are two cabins plus a camper being rented on this property. There aren’t enough plugs to accommodate all of them and the main issue is they are not 110 volt plugs. They are camper plugs, luckily one of the other tenants had an adapter and we had a 3-way plug to make it work. All in all I would stay again, but the charging issue is a major concern being a lake cabin.

Thank you so much for your detailed review and for choosing to stay at our cabin! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the space, cleanliness, and amenities.
Regarding the charging situation, the adapter you borrowed from the other guest is actually the same adapter we leave on-site for our guests to use during their stay. As noted in the listing, each cabin is designed for standard recreational use, we’re a cozy lakeside cabin setup, not a full marina, so we always encourage guests to bring their own extension cord or adapter if they have specific charging needs for boats or larger equipment.
I truly appreciate your feedback and am happy to hear you’d stay again! We look forward to hosting you for another peaceful getaway by the lake. 🌅
