Far from the crowds and Condos... Far from the noise and tourist traps... There is the old Hawaii of HANA, a small community overlooking beautiful Hana Bay on the windward east end of Maui. Hana is cooled by the trade winds that blow across the Pacific and nourish us with evening showers that make this part of Maui lush and tropical.
As you travel the magical 'road to Hana' you leave the real world behind and slowly enter the land of old Hawaii, with waterfalls, majestic coastal views and jungle rain forests. By the time you arrive in Hana you will sense a slight change. You will feel a slower pace, more peaceful and quiet.
As you follow the private drive through the tropical flower garden to our secluded Tradewinds Cottage, you will discover the Hawaii that you came to see.
Our two bedroom, one bath cottage has just been beautifully remodeled. It features a full kitchen with granite countertops, a gas range, microwave and coffee maker. The cottage has a queen size bed and two twin beds. It has satellite TV, DVD player, plus wireless internet access.
This vacation rental is fully permitted. Permit #STHA 2018/0001, SUP2 2012/0034
**NOTE: There is no longer a hot tub at this cottage. You may see the hot tub mentioned in reviews but it was removed during the recent remodel.

Beautiful property to get away to, if you are wanting to experience the slower-paced island life. Close to a yummy pizza restaurant and farm stand. Super close to the Wai’anapanapa state park, which is a must see.
This was a nice place in Hana. Everything was as described. We came after several strong storms and it was all very green and pretty. Lots of mosquitoes which is noted in the listing. Hana itself was not what I expected, but this place was nice.
It’s a nice place in a great location if you are staying near Hāna it feels like a home the only downside is there are fruits that fall on the roof that my scare your wife to death in the middle of the night all jokes aside we would definitely stay here again
Beautiful place to stay. It is your own little slice of peaceful rainforest. The kitchen is a complete kitchen. Loved the fact there are beach towels. You will get use to driving the Hana Highway. You must have banana bread and pizza from Hana Farms and visit Maui Gold chocolates.
We had fantastic stay. The beauty of the both the home and it's surroundings live up to the pictures in the listing, which is a rarity! The kitchen was well stocked with all the basics and then some. Linens plentiful. Beds comfy. Tons of windows to open and enjoy the sounds of Hana - birds and wildlife, leaves rustling. My family of three spent many hours reading and hanging on the lanai. Directions for arrival were thorough and easy to follow. Checkout was a breeze without any complicated cleaning instructions.
This was a lovely cabin in the tropical forest of Hana. It was the perfect spot for an overnight going to and from Hana. There are a few local spots to eat nearby as well. There’s no AC but the cabin had plenty of fans that it was still cool with the windows open.
Beautiful grounds, unit well appointed. Clean with comfortable beds. Location was great we had 3pm reservation for the beach after 3pm check in we went to the state park. Centrally located for our adventures in Hana. Mahalo nui loa
Felt like staying in the rain forest :-)We loved staying in this lovely, green and clean cottage. Strolling around the garden with our kids was lots fun. The house is equipped with everything we needed as a family. The large lanai was great to be outside even when it rained heavily. For us it was perfectly located to reach hikes and beaches around Hana. Would definitely recommend the cottage!
