Wonderful spot in a quiet town in Provence

The house is very comfortable, located in the heart of town, next to a beautiful church. Walking distance to all of the sights in Saint Saturnin les Apt, and quick driving distance to several other towns in the area.

Europe 2023

Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazzzxzzzzzzzzzzing accommodation in Saint Saturnin, which away from the busy tourist towns in Provence. The host and their assistants were great to communicate with and the bonus was the plunge pool in the back courtyard during some hot summer days.

We loved our stay! The house is beautiful, light and airy with real character. The beds were super comfortable with soft cotton sheets and very comfortable pillows. We stayed in the top bedroom as our teenage son had the lower floor bedroom and even in hot July weather we found it cool enough at night with the fan on and the window open (we kept the shutters closed during the day in there). The living room was a lovely place to hang out and we really enjoyed the back garden and plunge pool. There was always a shady area to sit and eat, read and play cards. The village itself was gorgeous and we had one cooler day to go for a walk around the fortress and in the woodland beyond. There are good shops for supplies - a butchers, two bakeries and the epicerie as well as a Spar for essentials. We would love to come again if we can.

Authentic Village Experience

Lovely home and small village. Only concern was the never ending Church bells all night. Very disturbing for sleep.

Hi Megan, we're glad you liked the house and the town, and we're sorry if the church bells were so disruptive. We are in the middle of a 17th century historic town centre, so the church bells have a long tradition and are part of it. We would have been happy to help with earplugs for example, maybe an option for next time!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen Dr. A. Schmidt-Salzmann

18th century “town “ house with 21st century comfort in charming French village

We loved this place. Several very good restaurants within walking distance as well as plenty of short day trips to other lovely villages in the Luberon available. There are four levels in the house so not a good place for people who have trouble navigating stairs.
