Gîte 4★ with swimming pool & SPA - Panoramic view, terraces in Provence

For the 2020 season we will only take bookings from the end of October, thank you for your understanding. 70 km from Avignon and Mont Ventoux, detached house on the outskirts of a listed village character.
Conceived by the owner on bancaous (terraces) the house is leaned against the rock of the hill, which allows him an exceptional sight on the plain and its fields of lavender. Far from the beaten track you will find calm and serenity.
You will have two bedrooms, a mezzanine lounge with extra BZ, two bathrooms, one with bath, two toilets, a fully equipped kitchen. Cot, fireplace, tv hd, dvd, wifi ....
Outside two terraces, one shaded with trellis, garden furniture, two barbecue, garden shed ... The secure pool surrounded by dry stones will provide relaxation and freshness.
On your arrival to make your stay as pleasant as possible we will advise you on your wishes for walks, trips, visits and catering in the region.
Simiane and its surroundings will seduce you by the diversity of its landscapes, the authenticity of its old stones, a real haven of peace far from the classical circuits and the tourist affluence of the big cities.

Words can't describe how amazing our stay was this weekend. The property was stunning, even in the rain! But the views, the home feel, the classic vintage style with hints of modern in the house was stunning. Great house

We had a great stay in the house. Alain and his wife showed us the house when we arrived and gave some good tips about what to experience in the area. All in all we had a very nice time both in the house and when exploring Provence.

Marvellous stay in a delightful gite. Johan could not have been more helpful. We loved going down to the boulangerie for breakfast . We had some great meals… at the tiny restaurant at the top of the village near the tower, at David’s ( for fine dining and one of the best restaurant views ever) and the abbey, with a fantastic taster menu and gardens full of roses. We loved the neighbouring villages of Viens (catch the monthly cinema presentation) and Banon with its twice weekly market. Rustrel (called the Colorado Provencale) was an astonishing landscape. Roussillon was too much of a tourist hotspot. We didn’t feel the need to go further afield. The pool was great, the location a joy. There are steep steps outside to a great terrace ( not for the unsure of foot) perfect for the morning light. Thank you Johan for sharing it with us.

Perfection in the lavender fields

This was my second visit. The house is a lovely gathering place inside and out tucked into a rock at the foot of a fairytale village with a nearby restaurant and boulangerie the equal of Parisian food. The place is for the traveler who is looking for peace away from over touristed towns. No trinket shops here, but many famous or not so famous places to visit are short trips away. Alain and Christine are kind to share such a gem.

Lovely house

Very lovely house with the most amazing terrace and wonderful view. Alain is a super nice host, very helpful and welcoming! Simiane-la-Rotonde is a cute town. There are limited choice of restaurants in the town itself, but the ones there are nice. Closests groceries 10 minutes away by car, but there is also a small kiosk with necesseties 2 minutes by foot from the house.

Lovely house and location

The house is beautiful and very comfortable, as is the village in which it resides. It is well maintained and much thought has been given to every detail. My only complaint was the (high) charge for bed linens, towels and cleaning, which came to a total of much more than one night's stay. This should be posted in the listing as it effects overall cost, and in general seems like something that should be included (sheets and towels), and not an add-on. Alain, the owner, is very nice and accommodating, and immediately assisted us when we had a problem with ants in one of the rooms. However, we had to communicate through Google translate as he has even less English than I have French.

Wonderful house in beautiful lavender area

We have a great two-week stay at Johans wonderful house The house is located in a great spot right on the edge of the historic village/town of Simiane La Rotunde. The town itself is very scenic and great views but quite empty and only small art galleries and no other shops. We have been to Provence before and chose Simiane La Rotonde in order to try a less touristy part of Provence The house has super swimming pool which is very private. In front of the house is a terrace where you can eat breakfast and an amazing raised terrace in the garden where you get great views of the old town and surrounding area. Amazing!Johan is the owner of the house and was very helpful. He speaks French and German (and we don’t) so communication was through text and google translate Johan lives around 1 hour from the house and was able to come by when there were issues (our pool needed to be cleaned due to the very hot weather, for example)He made us very welcome and even arranged a private wine, cheese, truffle tasting at one of his friends vineyard – a very enjoyable and authentic experience All in all, a wonderful holiday and highly recommended!

Wir können uns den bisherigen Bewertungen nur anschließen. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Johan liegt es sehr am Herzen, dass sich seine Gäste wie zu Hause fühlen und die Umgebung mit vielen hilfreichen Informationen entdecken können. Er stand jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und gab gerne Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen.Das Haus ist sauber, gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Trotz der hohen Temperaturen bleibt es im Inneren relativ kühl.Die Boulangerie im Ort hat die besten Baguettes und sehr guten Kaffee. Im Restaurant Le Chapeau Rouge kann man den einen oder anderen gemütlichen Abend bei einer guten Flasche Wein verbringen. Und nicht zu vergessen: das kleine, feine Restaurant Les Table im Ortskern! Die Besitzer und Servicekräfte waren überall sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und geduldig – trotz unserer eher rudimentären Französischkenntnisse.Zufällig fiel das jährliche Dorffest (Fête votive) in unseren Reisezeitraum. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, dieses traditionelle Fest miterleben zu dürfen.Einmal pro Woche werden der Pool gereinigt und die Pflanzen gepflegt. Das geschieht jedoch sehr diskret und nach vorheriger Absprache. Bei einem dieser Besuche lernten wir Johans Vater kennen, der uns eine herrlich duftende und saftige Zuckermelone aus seinem Garten schenkte! Hinweis: Wer mit Hunden anreist, sollte wissen, dass sie nicht in den Pool dürfen. Für uns war das ok, wir hatten zur Abkühlung einen kleinen Hundepool dabei, was unserem Vierbeiner ausreichte.

Hallo Johan wir hatten 14 Tage lang einen wunderschönen Urlaub in diesem Domizil verbracht.Alles hat von Anfang an gepasst Buchung Kontakt und das Objekt war Top.Genau wie beschrieben.Beste Lage eine wunderschöne Wohnung sehr sauber und mit allem was dazu gehört.Pool und Whirl-Pool grossartig.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Objekt nur weiterempfehlen.Gut geeignet auch als Ausgangspunkt für sehr schöne Fahrradtouren zu unternehmen.Sehr gute Betreuung vor Ort.Danke nochmals dafür.Pit u. Die Lokalzeitung berichtet, dass jeden Morgen im Morgengrauen ein Radfahrer gesehen wurde, der alle Straßen im Kanton abgefahren ist! Ihr habt das wirklich ausgiebig genutzt, und das freut mich sehr. Vielen Dank für eure lieben Worte in den Kommentaren. Ich hoffe, wir sehen uns bald wieder, vielleicht mit der Familie und den Enkelkindern. Wir werden dann die nötigen Betten aufstocken! Nous avons loué cette maison car il était bien précisé que la piscine était disponible depuis avril en MAJUSCULES sur le titre de l'annonce. Ce qui n'était pas le cas. J'ai de suite contacté le loueur, sans pour autant obtenir la possibilité d'utiliser la piscine pendant tout le séjour. Le SPA était disponible. Les transats ne sont pas les mêmes que sur la photo. La box faible pour utiliser en WiFi un PC correctement et regarder la TV sans Pixels.Info importante l'orientation de la maison, face au très joli village, est très rapidement à l'ombre en début d'après-midi à cette saison. Je l'écris, car j'aurai apprécié de le savoir. La maison est fonctionnelle et l'environnement appréciable pour être tout de suite sur des chemins de randonnées.

Je suis heureux de lire que vous avez pleinement profité de l’environnement, du calme ainsi que des randonnées accessibles directement depuis la propriété, qui correspondent effectivement à l’expérience attendue au printemps. Concernant la piscine, comme indiqué dès le début de votre séjour, celle-ci n’est pas mise en service début avril en raison des températures encore basses voir négatives la nuit et du risque de gel, conditions bien connues en Haute Provence à cette période. Ce point a été clarifié dès vos premiers jours sur site. Ce fonctionnement est standard et nécessaire pour préserver les installations. Cette information a d’ailleurs été précisée explicitement dans l’annonce afin d’éviter toute interprétation. Il est important de préciser que les conditions et tarifs hors saison estivale tiennent naturellement compte du fonctionnement des équipements extérieurs à cette période. Le SPA chauffé, disponible toute l’année, constitue à cette saison l’équipement extérieur privilégié. Enfin, l’exposition Sud-Est de la maison suit naturellement les saisons ; elle est particulièrement appréciée en été pour la fraîcheur qu’elle procure en fin de journée, ce que recherchent la plupart de nos hôtes. Je vous remercie pour votre séjour ainsi que pour le soin apporté au logement. Es kann einfach keinen schoeneren Platz zum Fruehstuecken geben als die kleine Naturterrasse unter einem leicht ueberhaengenden Felsen neben dem Ferienhaus! Natuerlich muss man Ende September/Anfang Oktober ein bisschen lernen, "nach der Sonne zu leben", aber wenn es zu kalt wurde, gab es drinnen eine gut funktionierende Heizung. Auch sonst liess das gemütliche provenzalische Haus keine Wuensche offen, inklusive eines immer moeglicher Internet Zugangs. Und wenn es ein Problem gegeben haette, waere der nette und unglaublich bemühte Vermieter Johan sicher sofort zur Stelle gewesen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Das Ferienhaus von M. Johan Meffre ist hervorragend und übertrifft Lage und Umgebung der bei FeWo angebotenen Informationen. Das gepflegte Grundstück ist traumhaft mit Blick auf den "mystische" Ort Simiane-la-Rotonde einerseits und dem Luberon in die andere Richtung.Das Haus, durchaus geeignet für 4-5 Personen, ist großzügig auf zwei Ebenen gestaltet (2 Bäder/WC) und bestens ausgestattet. Das Sonnen und Entspannen am sauberen Pool ist einzigartig.Herr Johan Meffre war immer hilfsbereit und hatte gute Empfehlungen bezüglich Restaurants oder Veranstaltungen in der Nähe.Dieses Objekt kann ich mit guten Gewissen bestens empfehlen!

Herrliche Lage mitten in der Provence

Das Haus ist direkt an den Felsen gebaut mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf "la Rotonde" und weit ins Land hinein. Viel Platz, vollständige und zweckmäßige Einrichtung trugen zum Wohlfühlen bei. Der grosszügig angelegte Pool war im Mai noch sehr "erfrischend".

Sous le charme

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances dans cette maison confortable, fonctionnelle, décorée avec soin et très propre. A l’ombre l’après midi, elle garde bien la fraîcheur. Nous avons apprécié le calme, la très belle vue, la piscine, les petits commerces et Simiane accessibles à pied. Un grand merci à Christine et Alain pour leurs attentions et la qualité de leur location ainsi que le partage de bonnes adresses et des sites à ne pas manquer. Un temps merveilleux en Provence

L'accueil chaleureux d'Alain et de Christine a été un excellent départ pour des vacances merveilleuses. Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dans cette maison aménagée avec soin et dotée d'une belle piscine. Même notre ami à quatre pattes a beaucoup apprécié le beau jardin. C'est un petit coin de paradis - merci Alain & Christine de nous avoir permis de vivre cela !
