I booked this home for a family vacation with 8 adults and 4 children, and overall we had a great stay. The house was spacious, beautifully maintained, and had an excellent layout. Even with a large group, we never felt crowded. The kids especially loved the bunk room. The location was another highlight. It was conveniently close to Big Trees, Murphys, and grocery stores, while still feeling secluded enough to enjoy the peaceful forest setting. The reason we're giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a few issues we encountered during our stay:1. The floors throughout the home were quite dirty when we arrived.2. The septic tank was overflowing, which caused a strong sewage odor near the front entrance and stairs. We contacted the property management company, and to their credit, they responded quickly. Someone arrived within about 10 minutes, and a septic company came out later that same day to address the issue.3. The kitchen cooktop felt unsafe to use. The burner knobs did not function properly, so we had to repeatedly check that the gas was fully turned off after cooking.4. One of the bedrooms had evidence of a water leak, including a hole in the ceiling and several water stains.Despite these issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the home's size, location, and overall comfort.
