Nestled in the woods at the end of a quiet road you will find this charming home ready for your family to escape from everyday busy life. The property sits on over13 acres featuring a small pond, woods for exploring, plus a nice firepit and hot tub for relaxing. There is plenty of parking and the home is located just minutes from Moutardier Reacreation Area making it the perfect place to bring your boat for a trip to Nolin Lake without being in a crowded lake subdivision. Mammoth Cave National Park and Nolin Lake State Park are both only a 30 minute drive...making this home an ideal spot for cavers, boaters and hikers. We are also close to Blue Holler Off-Road park and Decker Boyz Raceway with plenty of parking space for a trailer.
This home features 3 bedrooms, two baths, a spacious living room, dining room, well stocked kitchen and extra seating areas throughout.
The master bedroom features a king bed and large walk-in closet. The first guest room has a queen bed, desk and tv. The second guest room has two twin over full bunk beds sleeping 6. There is also an air mattess available for extra sleeping space if needed.
All bedrooms have Smart tv's.
The second floor bathroom has a stand alone shower and a large soaking tub. The first floor bath has a tub/shower combo.
The large living room has plenty of seating for your family and friends and a smart tv.
On the wrap around deck you will not only find seating areas with peaceful views but also a Weber gas grill.
The house and property is a great place to relax, but if you need to work while you are here there is excellent high speed Wi-Fi.

Secluded Retreat Great For Families

It was wonderfully quite and secluded. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire, and watching the stars. The kitchen had all the tools needed to do plenty of cooking...and we love to cook.

Great house. Clean. Only areas of improvement would be less sqeaky bunkbeds and towel racks. Great hot tub enjoyed by kids. Reasonable drive (about 45 min) to caves (Mammoth anf others) and kayaking for enjoyable activities. It was a good time.

Unplanned getaway

We found ourselves without vacation plans after the Crowdwise/Delta debacle. So we did a quick VRBO search for an adventure somewhere “close” to home. We decided to check out Mammoth Cave NP. This gorgeous property was available and perfect! Quiet, clean, and very private! My teens had plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped. There was a problem with a water main somewhere nearby and the host made sure we were aware so we could make plans for safe water. I would highly recommend!

A hidden gem

I almost selfishly want to give the property a one star in hopes of not sharing this place! We stayed here to celebrate my son's 5th birthday party. Not only did the kids have a blast, but the adults did too! Between the camp fire, hot tub, playground, and many places to explore, there was never a boring moment. The house is spacey enough to not feel congested with 6 people in the house. I can’t praise this house and the property manager. We will definitely default to this house as our new getaway!

Amazing!

Our stay was amazing here. The owner she is beyond one the best I’ve rented from. We woke up late on the last day and was a little late gettin out then ended up making 2 trips back because we didn’t have room n tahoe. she was very understanding. The house was clean and well arranged and decorated. There is so much room n all the bedrooms and the whole house. The bathrooms were really nice and stocked. The hot tub was ready to get in when we arrived. It was the best! Plenty of towels also are supplied separately from the bath towels. There is PLENTY of coffee supplied which was EVERYTHING to me and a life savor. I brought my cream but forgot coffee. It is a Keurig. The outside yard is huge and clean and gorgeous. Kids play area also. We enjoyed every min of our stay and really felt relaxed. The location it doesn’t get better. So private and tons of patio furniture outside.

Quick trip to Leitchfield

We recently had a death in the family and had to travel to Leitchfield for the funeral. After arriving at Cindy’s home, we immediately wished we were able to stay longer! The house was clean and very comfortable. Our children loved sitting in the hot tub at night and exploring the property during the time they had available. We promised them that we could come back and stay at Cindy’s home another time where they would have more time to relax and explore. I highly recommend this property!

Great time with the fall leaves and the wildlife

What a beautiful property! We had a great stay and the kids loved being able to run around the large yard and go exploring in the trails. We had deer and turkeys roll through at different times. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. Everything was easy. Communication was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was great, a little bit of a drive to Mammoth cave. The check in book with details probably needs updated, said it had a wii system upstairs and we looked couldn't find it the kid's were disappointed, but they enjoyed the smart tv watching YouTube videos. The hot tub was a hit as well.

Perfect Long Weekend

This house was the perfect size for us, our two kids and our friends with their infant. The kids enjoyed the hot tub each night! Loved the fire pit and walking trails out back. No luck with any fish in the pond. We visited mammoth caves and did some kayaking too! The house is fully equipped with everything you need, we made great meals each day and breakfast on the Blackstone grill! Great communication from the Owner/Manager. We would stay here again if in the area!
