The house was even bigger than the pictures make it look! Beautiful views of the hood canal & the perfect set-up for a fun, relaxing weekend with friends. Will definitely stay again.
Our host communicated well and the property was perfect for our needs and as advertised. This is a well run unit and we appreciated the guestbook and extra touches. We will be back.
Loved our stay. Spent a lot of time outside on the deck enjoying the view. Inside is really nice with multiple gathering spaces.would definitely stay here again.

Fun getaway from the hustle and bustle. We hiked, cold plunged in the ocean, hot tubed, and ate at some of the local restaurants. Great house with very responsive owner.Only issue was one toilet wasn’t flushing, but otherwise great house and stay.
Erika’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway. My family and I went clamming nearby and the kitchen was perfect to cook meals together. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Erika’s place for your next trip the hood canal/Olympics.

House was amazing! Loved the style/decor, incredible view, great hot tub, comfy beds/furniture and great location, only 5 min to Hoodsport. House was also very well stocked, and appreciated the welcoming treats from the host! Host was also quick to respond and flexible in allowing us to check in a little early which we really appreciated! Great weekend with family - enjoyed hanging at the house playing games & also great lunches at both the Hamma Hamma Oyster Saloon & Hook & Fork! Would definitely stay here again if coming to the area
Perfect house for a dive vacation. About 5 min drive north of Hoodsport…looks just like the photos. Lovely view of the Hood Canal and spacious property for 4 friends.
So grateful for such a lovely landing spot to enjoy the area. Perfectly appointed, well-furnished home ideal for our family’s needs. Host was super helpful.
We loved the property and felt as though it had everything we needed. So much space, a wonderful kitchen, lots of room for the toddler to run around, and beautiful views. We were only a few minutes away from Hoodsport and Potlatch State Park. Erika was so incredibly kind and really responsive and easy to communicate with! We've all talked about how much we'd love to come back and stay at this exact house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful place.
This home is more beautiful than the pictures show online. You step into the home and are welcomed with beautiful views of Hood Canal. The home owner was so kind and communicated quickly when we had questions. We will definitely be back.
We had an amazing time in the Hood Canal area. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready for foraging. We can tell the hosts are foodies! The views from the dining area/living room or absolutely amazing. Family enjoyed going hot tubbing almost every night after a long day of hiking/beach excursions. The house was very clean, spacious, good separation between kids area and adult space. Wonderful stay. Would definitely come again if we are in the area.
A very nice property that was very clean and well kept. Plenty of room and games and an awesome hot tub on the deck. East access to hiking in the Olympic National Park and the town of Hoodsport has hidden gems like the Fjord Oyster Bank. Everything we could have hoped for!
I could look at the view from the main rooms of this house FOREVER! The weather was sunny but very cold, so the fireplace was much appreciated. We are an older couple who needs a place with very few stairs that will welcome our dogs - this place was perfect. Erika was communicative & helpful without being intrusive - we hope to return some day.
We came for a Girls Weekend Getaway. The house was nice and bright even with the fall rainy/cloudy skies outside. Plenty of space for every individual in our group to find their sleeping space. We huddled up around the table for card games, and meals and hung out next to the fireplace for some great conversations and giggles. We had a wonderful weekend!!
We had such a lovely vacation in this beautifully decorated house overlooking the river, it was absolutely perfect in every way. The kitchen is set up so easy to cook with lots of cooking and baking utensils. The living room is equipped with a lovely little fireplace with the TV room right off of it which makes for a really wonderful casual evening. Our favorite part was the hot tub on the deck overlooking the view of the river, it is a very clean jet hot tub with complete privacy from any view of neighbors. Our host recommended we go to Hama Hama Oyster Saloon which was right down the road and we really appreciate the recommendations that were given. We highly rate this location with a perfect score.
Everything was excellent and as described. Erika answered right away when we let her know that the fire alarm woke us all up at 4 am, with the message "battery running out". It was a dangerous situation because we didn't have a ladder to stop the ringing. They will make sure a ladder will be available from now on.One of the toilet handle is not working, should be fixed. But all in all, it was a great experience, everything was clean and it's a fun house.
It’s always a little scary, wondering if the house really is like the pictures. But in this case, the pictures don’t do it justice. My family and I spent an amazing weekend filled with games, laughs and oooooh so much food. Definitely a core memory weekend. Going into detail would be so long so quick small summary, very clean, amazing views as soon as you open the door. Kitchen equipped with most everything you could need. Communicating was easy, quick and informative. I would definitely love to stay again. Thank you!
My whole family loved this beautiful home. We had such a great time and wish we could have stayed longer. The hot tub was clean and had an amazing view of the water. There is a fence along the property that allowed us to let the dog outside without worrying about the highway. Location is great with multiple stores and gas stations nearby for quick last minute errands. The home was fully stocked with kitchen supplies as well as all sorts of entertainment. The owners were in communication and responded very fast to all of our questions. I can’t wait to come back and visit the place again for our next trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING THIS HOME. 5 out of 5 stars and wish we could give more.
We were really impressed by the size of the space. It is bigger and nicer than the pictures can capture. The house was well equipped and cozy. It had everything we needed for cooking meals, playing pool and fuse ball, and enjoying the hot tub. Everyone loved it. The property is right on the highway which is loud on the bedroom side of the house but there were earplugs provided which took care of that problem. The view is lovely. My family saw birds and seals and it was very peaceful just looking out at Hood Canal. Nice little shops just down the road a couple miles and we loved the coffee and ice cream at the Hoodsport Coffee Co. We would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Erika Takeuchi
We’re Madisen, Mark, and Erika, Seattle natives who share a passion for travel and exploring new places. The Hood Canal quickly became one of our favorite escapes — from the breathtaking water views to fresh oysters, hikes with our pup, and the charming shops and restaurants nearby, it’s a place that never stops inspiring us.
We’re thrilled to share our home with guests who want to experience the same beauty and relaxation that drew us here. If you have any questions during your stay, please don’t hesitate to text or call, we’re always happy to help.
Why they chose this property
Our home is just 5 minutes north of downtown Hoodsport, a charming waterfront town with distilleries, wineries, and great local dining. One of our favorite spots is the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon (10 minutes north), where you can enjoy oysters right on the beach — we recommend a reservation for weekends if you’d like one of their cozy A-frame tables.
Beyond food and drink, the area is an outdoor lover’s dream. We’re only 30 minutes from some of the Pacific Northwest’s most stunning hikes and a gateway to Olympic National Park. Whether you’re here for oysters, wine tasting, or mountain trails, this neighborhood puts it all within easy reach.
What makes this property unique
Our home combines the comfort of a spacious, modern retreat with the natural beauty of Hood Canal views at every turn. Few places offer so much space to gather — with three living areas, a full game loft, and multiple decks, there’s room for everyone to relax their own way.
The expansive main deck and hot tub are favorites with our guests, perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, or stargazing under the clear PNW skies. And because we’re dog-friendly, your four-legged family members can enjoy the adventure too.
It’s a rare balance — quiet, scenic, and private, yet just minutes from fresh oysters, local wineries, Lake Cushman, and Olympic National Park. A true basecamp for both relaxation and exploration.
