! NEW 2BD Elegant, Cozy, Comfy Retreat - SKYLINE views of LA !

We are very disappointed and disheartened to receive such an UNFAIR and misleading review! Perla and her 8 (!) person crew were nothing but DIFFICULT guests. She LIED on her booking and said only 4 people will check in. Upon check in, one of the guests was under the influence of alcohol and kept pressing the ring doorbell at the entrance, talking to us very loudly through the camera about something that I can only assume was a product of his imagination. Upon looking at the camera, we realised there were 8 people checking in, each with a big suitcase, while I ur property is only permitted for a maximum occupancy of 6! At that point she was not only BREAKING the house rules, but also the local county rules for which the permit for this property was issued! As per the rules, we were well within our right to charge $300 fee for breaking any of the rules, and get VRBO&local authorities involved and ask the guests to leave. We decided NOT to do such a thing and instead let the guest enjoy the stay and hope they will remedy the situation. Perla wasn’t pleased that her lie was uncovered, started blaming us for her privacy issues (camera outside the entrance) and started demanding that we provide 2 pull out beds which she saw advertised online (there is no such thing on our listing, 6 people is max occupancy). Instead of charging her much more for breaking the rules, we politely allowed her to make things right and suggested she only pays the APPROPRIATE amount for the booking as if there were only 6 people ($150). Majority of the listings have different prices depending on the occupancy level and that is very normal among all hosts. Perla was dishonest from the beginning, didn’t respect local rules and was rather rude in her communication with us. We have hosted many stays on different platforms, we are a SUPERHOST and we have nothing but RAVING REVIEWS. I hope that speaks for itself for the future guests on VRBO. PS1. We always respect our guests’ privacy and the cameras are only located outside of the property to protect the house and your safety. PS2. We have a routine pest control set up with a third party, to make sure our guests never complain about ants or other little creatures. We take a very good care of our properties. We asked the guests whether a routine pest control is ok, and upon them saying No, we postponed the service. We NEVER allow to go anyone in, if the guest feels uncomfortable. All in all, this is very MISLEADINGreview.
