About the host
Hosted by Maggy Kottman

As I moved into the next phase of my life, I wanted to invest in properties that move me and that my children can enjoy long after me. I recently purchased this property, so there are no or few reviews. Because the property manager is staying on with me and will be managing your day-to-day questions/requests, your experience should be excellent as the previous owner's reviews showed! Upon request, the previous owner will allow me to show the older reviews should you like to see them. Communication: I will respond to your questions and requests as quickly as possible, so please don't hesitate to contact me. During your stay the property manager will attend to any of your needs regarding the property and amenities. He is a wealth of information! Pura Vida!
Why they chose this property
Rio Seco Estate (also known as Eden Estate) captured my heart from the moment I saw it. Costa Rica has so much to offer everyone and so does Rio Seco Estate (Eden Estate). Enjoy the luxury of a well-tended estate with many amenities nearby. The views from the estate are spectacular, both the ocean and the rainforest. There's not a single place in the house where one cannot see the beauty surrounding it. The two hiking trails leading down to the rivers on the property are full of wildlife and beautiful jungle scenery.
What makes this property unique
The property manager, Kenny, is fantastic. He agreed to stay on when I bought the property. His entire family has lived in this area for generations and his knowledge of this area is vast.
There are many beaches all along the coastal highway, which is just minutes from the estate. Rainmaker Preserve (MUST SEE) is just 1.5 km up the road. Manuel Antonio Park is just 25 minutes away and has great tours and a huge variety of wild life to see (monkeys, sloths, exotic birds...). Dominical, where the rainforest meets the ocean, is just under an hour south and is a fantastic beach town. Uvita, just south of Dominical, is a haven for whale watching. There are too many activities to mention them all: Zip lining, river rafting, ecotourism, fantastic restaurants, waterfall tours, snorkeling, fishing scuba diving... just to name a few.
Enjoy the Central Pacific region, one of the best places to stay in Costa Rica!
