Relaxing 4/3 Lakehouse Getaway on Lake Geneva

We are a husband and wife team that have been in the long term rental business for almost 30 years. Our specialty is finding the properties that no one else wants ("extreme fixer uppers"), seeing the potential behind the disaster, and turning them back into a home. We love our jobs and are very hands on, doing most of the work ourselves.
After finishing the remodel of this spectacular lake house, we decided the property was too special not share with others, which is why we are opening it up to the short term rental market.
The house was originally a "Camp Blanding" structure brought over to this site in 1949 to be a family vacation lake house and had an addition built onto it in the 70's. It had been owned by the same family, passed down through the generations, until we purchased it in 2021. Although it has had a complete remodel, we tried to save as many of the original features as possible (original hardwood floors, door knobs, to name a few). This house will most definitely give you an old Florida feel while still experiencing all the comforts of modern living.

Our lake house is the perfect family vacation spot. Our nephew (age 10) summed it up nicely... "Why do we need to go anywhere...all the fun is right here at the house."

You have private access to a piece of Lake Geneva, fishing poles are provided, lake toys and floats are there as well for beach and swimming time. There is fire pit for s'more making, a bench swing for relaxing, canoe for exploring the lake, sunroom for pleasant conversations or much needed naps, plenty of board games for the rainy days, a Wii, and Netflix for movie watching. There is a huge, fully-outfitted kitchen (we've tried to think of everything) for making that famous family favorite, or a grill on the back porch located right off the kitchen for easier meal preparation and a table for outside dining. Also, there is plenty of bird life for those avian enthusiasts!

But if you feel the need to explore past the property, we are located about an hour from the beaches or the many natural springs North Florida, making a day trip very manageable (we do it all the time ourselves).

Very quiet neighborhood. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac directly on Lake Geneva. About 30 minutes to Gainesville, Starke, Middleburg, or Palatka. Lots of amenities within 5-10 minutes including multiple restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, liquor stores, gas stations, fast food chains, etc...

The Lake! It is usable in everyway; swimming, boating, fishing, bird/wildlife watching. etc.

The Large Kitchen! Create your family favorites with this fully stocked kitchen (I have tried to think of everything you might need)

The Firepit! We stock it with firewood for you to enjoy a relaxing fire for s'more making, story telling, or just some quiet reflect time.

The Sunroom! A favorite spot of past guests for napping, board games, family meals, or conversations.
