Property was pristine, beautiful beach and so many restaurants, shops and things to do. The staff were all incredibly accommodating and friendly. We will be back!
The overall feel of the condo is that it's rundown and doesn't fit with the expectations one has when staying in the upscale Wild Dunes community. I would describe it as "barely good enough" to keep guests happy on a 3 night / 4 day stay like ours. Investing just a modest amount in this cute little unit would do a world of good, including: new carpeting, new couch and chair, new kitchen table, replace tile floor, master bed room window, and a fresh coat of paint.

Wild Dunes condo
I stayed there 5/31-6/5/17. The location was great and also beach frontage. It was just a short walk out the back door to the beach.
The condo had plenty of room for the two of us. The furniture, in the living room, was a bit old and on the worn side, but comfortable. The condo itself was in need of "sprucing up". Paint could have been used in many areas. One of the sliding doors that lead to the patio was also off its hinges. The master bedroom did not have a screen on the window, so you could not have the window open (to hear the ocean), because it would let more bugs in. Two years ago we stayed in another unit. It was basically the same condo (design wise), but in the building next door. It was in pristine condition. We had hoped that this unit would have been the same.
The main problem we had was a bad infestation of bugs the first two days, before we could get management out there to spray for them. We saw a couple of Palmito bugs, but the big issue were small brown bugs, about the size of a grain of rice. They were mostly upstairs in the bathrooms and bedrooms. The first two nights we hardly got any sleep, as the bugs kept crawling all over the bed. When one of the maintenance men came by, with some bug spray, he did not know what the were.
Counting taxes, various other fees, etc, the cost was almost $600 a night. For that kind of money, one would expect things to be perfect!
Bottom line, we could not complain about the location, or the beach setting; the condo just needed a little help, especially for what it cost.

Great beach!
Great beach! Amenities of the unit are dated but you have pretty much whatever you need and the bedrooms are large. No bathroom downstairs. The highlight of this unit is clearly the location and beach access.

Direct access to the beach, average accomodations
This was our first time at Wild Dunes. We loved the resort overall and it was a short ride to Charleston for great dinners and sightseeing. Our accommodations were average. The unit was more run down than showed in the pictures. On our first morning we attempted to cook breakfast and found that the kitchen was not well equipped. The toaster only toasted on side of the bread. We had only one small skillet and no spatula or griddle. There were no mixing bowls. We called the management company later in the day and they did bring us a larger skillet and spatula but said they didn't have bowls or griddles. The unit came with a washer and dryer. During the week we decided to do some wash. The washer machine spin cycle was so noisy that we couldn't hear the television with the volume at high. The dryer sensor must have been broken because we set it for normal dry and it ran for 6 hours. A note on the dryer saying use "timed dry, sensor broken" would have been nice and also prevented a possible fire should we have left the premises with the dryer on. The unit has three televisions, one in each bedroom and one in the living room. The living room television is small. Televisions are so inexpensive these days, I'm not sure why the owner skimped on this. I want to end this review saying that our stay was nice but it did not meet our expectations for the price.
