Jerry was very kind bringing fresh fruit and eggs from the farm. Big house with plenty room to have family activities or get away from your family in your own space loved it
We loved our stay at your home! It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. All of the beds were so comfortable and the host was so sweet to even bring us fresh double yolk eggs and sausage on our arrival so we didn’t have to rust out to the store!
We loved it!!! G-babies got surprised and they were so happy! What got my attention, was they were captivated by Jerry They heard him pull up, and wham! Out they went My husband said he met a new friend that he felt like he knew his whole life Thank you Jerry and Jane, it was very special to us!!!!
Such a nice quiet place to stay. Owners were great and accommodating. It was nice chatting with Jerry about the farm and history of the area. Definitely recommend if you want to get out into the country in the peace and quiet
We were traveling for a wedding so didn't spend a lot of time here but enjoyed the time we spend here. Check in was very easy. Nice porches with rocking chairs. The children enjoyed watching the cattle in the pens close by. Liked the cowboy/ranch decor and the layout of the house. Would recommend.
The property was clean and spacious with every accommodation I could think of. Every day we were gifted with home made Apple Butter, Watermelon, home made sausage and other fruits and vegetables. I could not have dreamed of a better host. Thank You!
This property was everything we had hoped for and then some. The house is inviting, comfortable and very spacious. We were 4 adults & 4 children from under 2 to 12. Plenty of room to run & play outside and inside had room for the kids to play together or find a quiet spot to themselves. On top of that our host & neighbor, Jerry K, provided us with fresh-off-the-vine watermelon, farm-fresh eggs, a stalk of sorghum & some purple-hull peas, along with great conversation! For a peaceful retreat to the country we can’t recommend Diamond K Lodge enough!!
I came with my father, sister, son and cousins - from 4 different states - to look for diamonds and watch the April 8 eclipse. The only diamond we found was the eclipse “diamond” but we couldn’t have been happier with our whole experience.
The moment we drove in we felt relaxed and at home. The farm is beautiful! The house is bigger than you can tell from the pictures. The back porch is perfect for sunrises, the front porch for sunsets and star gazing..
Jerry gave us a tour of the commercial egg laying operation where each chicken house holds 13,000 chickens! He also shared a lot of history about the area during our chats. We very much enjoyed visiting with him.
A small herd of cattle roams the farm. They come close to the house a few times a day and we loved having them around. There were several calves at the time we came and one that Jerry says was born while we were there.
The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.
We loved the bucolic setting and had an AMAZING time!

About the host
Hosted by Jane Kizzia
My husband & I are both Murfreesboro natives. He runs our cattle farm & I am a retired social worker. When we acquired the lodge/house, we both knew what we wanted to do with it. I enjoy interior decoration & he enjoys meeting new people. I call him the social director! I take care of the business end of it, & he takes care of the guests.
Why they chose this property
There's nothing better than the peace of country living. We get to see beautiful sunrises & hear all the sounds of nature as the farm awakens, watch the cattle grazing leisurely in the pastures, & often see a new calf being born or a herd of deer playing in the pasture nearby. We have full view of the stars at night & especially enjoy all the glory of a full moon.
What makes this property unique
Families who visit from big cities give their children a unique experience they may might otherwise never have.
