The Space:
Quiet mornings arrive with a soft hush over the mountains, the air crisp and clean as steam curls from the hot tub. Evenings settle in early here, inviting you to gather under the stars, and listen to the stillness that only a secluded West Virginia cabin can offer.
Sleeping arrangements
This single-level cabin is set up for families and small groups, with two bedrooms designed for comfort and ease. One bedroom features a queen bed, while the second bedroom includes two sets of bunk beds, offering flexible sleeping space. The cabin has one full bath with a bathtub and bathroom essentials provided.
Indoor living
Inside, the cabin feels welcoming and practical, with heating and air conditioning to keep you comfortable through the changing seasons. A dedicated workspace and Wifi make it easy to stay connected when needed, while the TV is ready for relaxed evenings with your favorite streaming services. Washer and dryer access adds convenience for longer stays, and the layout remains stair-free throughout the home.
Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is fully equipped for home-style meals, whether you are preparing a hearty breakfast before heading out or cooking dinner after a day of exploring. With a full kitchen and dining setup, you can enjoy meals together without needing to leave the cabin. Coffee in the morning and warm meals at night fit naturally into the slower pace of mountain living.
Outdoor living
Outdoor time is a highlight here, even in cooler months. The deck and backyard offer space to grill, or soak in the hot tub while the surrounding woods grow quiet. Yard games are available for guests of all ages, adding an easygoing way to spend daylight hours when weather allows. Free parking on the premises and a private entrance keep arrivals and departures simple.
River access & surroundings
Private access to the Cacapon River is available via a short 5-minute drive from the cabin. This nearby spot is ideal for swimming, fishing, or launching the provided kayaks during appropriate conditions. The cabin itself is secluded, and cell service is limited, offering a true break from daily noise while still providing internet access through Frontier Fiber. Occasional outages are possible, making it easy to fully unplug when nature takes the lead.
Neighborhood notes
The drive to the cabin includes mountain roads, with AWD or 4X4 recommended during winter weather. A new home is under construction in the area, with work typically limited to daytime hours. Berkeley Springs is about a 20-minute drive away and offers restaurants, breweries, shops, and a well-known arts scene.
Perfect for
This dog-friendly (no cats) cabin suits couples, families, or small groups looking for a peaceful retreat with simple comforts, outdoor space, and easy access to nature. Whether you are soaking in the hot tub after a cold day, cooking together indoors, or enjoying the quiet of the mountains, this cabin offers a calm and grounding place to slow down and reconnect.
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!
Longer Stays
For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.
Note
You have rented a mountainous property. AWD or 4X4 is recommended. The main and secondary roads are usually paved. However, there are many side roads that are gravel or hard-packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front-wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property from these roads if you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low-profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles. During inclement weather such as snow or ice, you may be required to have 4-wheel drive or tire chains. We also recommend Travel Insurance during the winter months. We do not give refunds for road conditions that are out of our control.
Our cabin is secluded, and without cell service. While we have fast and reliable Frontier Fiber, there will always be the rare Frontier Internet outage that is beyond our control. In that case, you'll truly be "off the grid," with no cell or Internet access. This is rare, but we do ask that you plan accordingly. Also, we have plenty of board games and outdoor games to enjoy!
A new home is currently under construction in the neighborhood. While work is generally limited to daytime hours, you may notice some activity or noise during your stay. We appreciate your understanding as the area continues to grow and improve!
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!

Spent Easter weekend with my family at the cabin. Very comfortable cabin in a great location. Peaceful nights relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub. Local area offers great opportunities for hiking. Excellent communication with the owners during our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
Overall very comfortable cabin with updated interior. Hot tub, fire pit, and games made the family weekend fun without having to leave the house. The kayaks and river access are great! Location is ideal for the creek, short drive to town, etc.
Beautiful, rural location. House was in good repair and stocked with kitchen items. Hot tub, great. Ability to bring pup appreciated. Communicative host. We would stay here again!
A great little cabin in a secluded spot. Exactly what we were looking for in our stay. It is in the woods so be prepared for that experience. Enjoyed the hot tub, the kitchen was stocked well for the little bit of cooking we did, and our dogs Tucker and Toby loved laying on the deck watching for any wildlife, which we did have deer and turkeys on the property during our stay. A great place for privacy and getting away from reality for awhile!
We enjoyed the seclusion and quiet of this cabin. The cabin has all the necessary kitchen items and wi-fi worked great for streaming TV & internet access. There are definitely some things that need some TLC & are a little worn but overall a cabin with lots to offer. Having the outdoor amenities was a huge plus. The hot tub was great and having a fire pit was fun at night. Also corn hole, outside games and inside games add to being able to just relax and enjoy quiet time without needing to go anywhere. Tony was fantastic in responding to everything from reservations to checking in with us the next morning, so again, that is a huge plus to have a host that is so responsive.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Nice location. Little TLC
Semi-private location. Interior of the cabin is OK. A broken lampshade, couch with a large stain on the entire seat, and stained linoleum floor were turn offs. Lots of fake plants had layers of dust. Getting the house manual digitally required going to a property management web site and putting in a lot of personal details. A 10 am checkout is ludicrous, especially when the property then tries to sell you early check in or late check out. The hot tub was in good working order.
The Green Rabbit was the getaway we needed and longed for! We woke up to sleet and rain our first morning which caused a power/water outage which also meant no service. We drove about 25 min to get some sort of signal to reach Tony and explain what was going on, he reached out immediately and although it was all out of his control, he did such a great job communicating with us and keeping us updated. We were given recommendations for breakfast and local shops in the meantime which is where we found out a lot of residents also lost power due to the weather. Thankfully Tony worked his magic and our power was on once we got back to the cabin. We also were able to extend our check out time to make up for our rough morning which was a bonus for us. Overall it was relaxing, adventurous and a much needed getaway!
My boyfriend and I loved our brief stay at the Green Rabbit with our small dog, Bella. The cabin is so cute and very secluded - we couldn't see any neighbors houses through the trees in any direction (in May), and that was exactly what we'd hoped for. It's nice to get away and just pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist sometimes :) and this was a perfect spot to do just that.
We enjoyed the hot tub that was right on the deck under some lovely café lights at night. We also played cornhole which was so fun to have available for us. There were no issues with the WiFi connectivity for our phones or streaming TV.
We were also able to take Bella with us into the tap room of the nearby Berkely Springs Brewing Co. for dinner. The BBQ food there was pretty average, but it was so nice to find a place that was dog-friendly to eat out. We loved that they have a specific dog menu too; Bella loved her bone-broth 'pupsicle'.
Overall we had a wonderful experience with our stay and wish we could have been there longer. Check in and check out was very easy, and communication with Tony was on point the whole time with everything we needed to know. My only suggestion after our stay would be to consider bringing your own flatter pillow if you're a back sleeper, because all of the pillows were quite plump (which isn't a bad thing at all, just more of a side-sleeper height thing). We would love to return at some point though when we can enjoy all of the home's amenities more. Thank you again to our host for the wonderful accommodations! We will definitely recommend it to friends.
We have a great time at this cute cabin- weloved the deck and the hot tub was a great experience away. We didn't have a chance to go kayaking, but we will next visit.
Stayed at this property for a girls trip! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the host suggested great things to do during our little getaway. GPS struggled getting us there since there isn't cell service, but we can't complain! Getting a little lost added to the adventure!
Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and the Green Rabbit in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
