Pontoon Onsite for Rent - Lakefront cabin on 1700 acre lake by ATV trails
Enjoy the simplicity and tranquility of our modest & cozy lakefront cabin, Roosevelt Lake, and all the Outing area has to offer. Our cabin is 950 sq ft of efficiently designed space. The interior space is expertly maximized to enjoy gathering comfortably inside or out. There is something for everyone to do here. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet or embrace the many activities available in any season… fish, swim, boat, kayak, ATV, snowmobile, snowshoe, hunt, XC ski and mountain bike. Restaurants, ice cream shops and live music nearby. The three sleeping spaces include a main level bedroom, upper level open loft and a lower level bedroom (heavy curtain for door) – see photos. To access the lakeshore you will need to be able to navigate stairs on a hillside. 1700 lake acres. ONSITE PONTOON RENTAL AVAILABLE - please inquire!
Note: It is strenuous to go up the stairs from the lakefront to the cabin so take your time! If stairs and hills are challenging for all parties in the prospective reservation, this property may not be ideal for you. If only one or a few guests are unable to navigate the stairs/hill AND you have a boat, consider picking the guest up by boat at the public dock 1/2 mi from the cabin and transport them back to the property to enjoy all that our lakeshore has to offer. While this takes some extra time, it will give everyone in your party the opportunity to enjoy the lake together!
We have 2 outdoor Ring cameras that are motion activated, one faces the driveway and one faces the pontoon.

Great cabin for a summer getaway with family. Pontooning, fishing, kayaking, yard games, fire pit & s'mores, a wonderful place to be together! Hosts are very responsive and welcoming.
A great cabin for our family of 4. Cabin was very clean and welcoming. Lots of entertainment inside for our rainy day and evenings. Lots of great bird watching from the cabin and deck. Plenty of parking space for our trailer and sxs. We plan on renting again.
My husband, adult daughter and myself had a perfect time staying here. We were up in the area to ride the ATV trails. The cabin is clean which is my #1 priority!!! I will stay here again. The cabin has everything you need. The host’s responded fast and super easy to work with. Thanks Kristi for a soft place to lay our heads.
If your looking to disconnect and decompress this is the place to do it. Photos show exactly what you get and it will not disappoint. Communication was amazing! I had all information I needed long before arriving and was even given a few recommendations on places to go for dinner that were great! We had an amazing time here!

We are delighted you had such a great time! This place is special, there’s no question about it, it’s almost unexplainable! We can never decide which season we love most here, but fall is pretty amazing. Please come back and visit again soon. You were fantastic guests.
Cabin is exactly as listed and our family of four (plus dog) had a wonderful time. The footprint is small, but we had everything we needed and appreciated the little extras. The late is pretty quiet during the week, which we appreciated. The fishing wasn't great, but we fed those little fish so they can grow up big and strong!
We were looking for a place to stay while we were in the area for grouse hunting. This property fit all our needs and we would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable!
The hosts have provided so many extras to make your stay comfortable here. The view of the lake is wonderful. It is close to town but not too close.
Communication with hosts was perfect.
Truly a very good deal in the northwoods of Minnesota.
From the cabin to the amenities to the extra special touches that the host/Kristi accommodated us with, was terrific! I would definitely recommend this place for those looking for a little getaway. If you ventured away from the cabin to go grab a bite to eat, the town had so much to offer as well! We loved our getaway.
My family and I had a great weekend at the lakefront cabin! There was so much to do that kept everyone entertained, including the baby! The place was very clean and comfy. Check in and check out processes were simple and quick. Would definitely recommend!
Stayed with some friends and did some trail riding on the ATV’s and took the pontoon out on the lake. It’s a beautiful area and the hosts were phenomenal. The cabin was also very well stocked. The only very minor thing for future guests to know is that the cabin is not as big as the pictures made it seem but it was otherwise represented very appropriately. It was also a little tricky getting in and out with a big trailer, but we did it and everything was great. We hope to come again. Definitely recommend to anyone! 10 out of 10!
A nice cabin on a peaceful lake. The cabin itself is small but pretty much has everything you need. One of the bedrooms is only accessible by ladder steps so it’s not good for someone old or really young. With staying a week we missed having a washer dryer. The area has plenty of restaurants and lakes to choose from. The hosts were great, even replacing the tv as soon as we told them there was a problem with it.
Host was excellent to communicate with! Bedding was cozy and clean and nice fresh towels! Cozy little cabin match the description on a big lake! Worked perfect for us to spend the weekend on the trails and a campfire at night! Will note you need to climb up a ladder to get up in the loft so maybe difficult for those that can’t get around well. Super cute sleeping area though! We will be back!
This cabin is very clean and comfortable. While the footprint is small, the 3 levels had plenty of space for my family. Lots of nice amenities and awesome responsive hosts. Lake Roosevelt is big enough to have plenty of fun boating, kayaking, and fishing on for a few days, but not too big as to be overwhelming to those unfamiliar with the area, or crowded with lots of boat traffic. The cabin, pontoon, and location made for a really relaxing getaway!

We are glad you enjoyed the cabin and amazing lake Roosevelt!
This property was very clean and fresh smelling. Beds and bedding were very nice. The large table was great for our group of 8. The property was very well equipped with everything that you would need away from home. We appreciated the use of the pontoon. Lake Roosevelt is beautiful.
We picked this property due to being close to the ATV trails and the lake was just steps from the backyard. Even though it rained almost every day, we were able to get a couple of days of fun in. We had 8 people stay and it provided enough room for everyone. Kristi was a great host as we contacted her a few times and she was very quick on responding.
Could have been the perfect vacation until we discovered a camera that was not disclosed in the description actively recording our family on the beach/dock area.

We work very hard to be transparent and accurate at all times with the property description. We took your feedback as an opportunity to include this information in our updated property description. You may appreciate knowing that the camera does not have the capability to actively record and only the boat is in the camera view, not the beachfront. With the in and out of so many guests, unoccupied premises, storms and potential boat lift malfunctions, it is important to make sure the boat doesn’t float away so that it can remain available to our guests to rent. We want each and every guest to have their expectations exceeded!
My husband and I stay in a lot of rentals. We usually like to stay at a different place each time, because we enjoy the variety. We have stayed at this location multiple times, because it is just so perfect. The owners are amazing, the house has everything we need and the views are beautiful. We'll definitely be back.
Great location and very clean cabin. The loft is not ideal sleeping for adults since the bathroom and kitchen are right below. Lower level is very comfy. Overall just a little cramped for 5 people. Fishing was great overall.
The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. I've stayed at several other rental properties and I can say this was the first that included some of the basic kitchen/bathroom staples such as plastic baggies, tinfoil and saran wrap, paper plates, as well as plenty of napkins, paper towels, and toilet paper. The kids loved the loft, table tennis, and the hammocks down by the lake. The owners really did a fabulous job utilizing the space. We would definitely look to stay here again in the future.
Nice cozy/small cabin that is laid out very nice. The heat pump a/c system will keep you cool at night. We grilled up steaks on the grill that worked perfect. The hill to the lake is no joke, not for the faint of heart. The lake is clear and not too busy. We enjoyed the mat and dock to cool off.

About the host
Hosted by Ken & Kristi Weikel
Hi! We are excited to host you at our family’s cabin! It’s been our dream to own a cabin and we finally did it in August of 2022! We learned the art of being great hosts from Kristi's mom....if you have stayed with her...you know what I am talking about...cleanliness, comfortable beds, great sheets, amenities galore, and little touches here and there!
Why they chose this property
Quintessential lake cabin…small but mighty. We love the lake and the small town that has all the basis - food, ice cream, drinks, and gasoline!
