Shell Cottage - Oregon Beach Vacations

Whether you’re a wizard-in-training or just an ordinary Muggle wanting some vacation relaxation, the Harry-Potter-themed Shell Cottage is a fantastic option for a coastal stay. Situated just two blocks from the beach in Central Lincoln City, this beautifully updated townhome has a third-floor great room with ocean views from the sky-high balcony, where you can watch the sun set over the Pacific on comfy cushioned chairs. Two plush couches face a gas fireplace and a giant TV with a DVD player and an assortment of movies (including the Harry Potter films, of course). A beautiful kitchen with a gas stove and stainless-steel appliances has access to a back balcony with views north to Cascade Head. The middle floor has a pretty queen suite with a private balcony, TV and walk-in shower. The kids get their own room, with twin bunk beds plus an extra twin, their own TV, sliders to another balcony, and Hogwarts touches they’ll love.

You can walk to miles of sandy beach in minutes. It’s also an easy stroll to the Oceanlake shopping district, where you’ll find an old-fashioned movie theater, a bakery, Bob’s Beach Books, Prehistoric, bars and dining, and even a Harry Potter café called the Cheeky Cauldron.

You don’t need to be a Potter fan to enjoy a wonderful stay in Shell Cottage. But if you are, your trip to the beach will be extra magical, courtesy of the sly details in this three-story home!

Great location but needs cleaning

The condo is in a great location and is overall a nice unit, however the carpets were badly stained throughout making the place feel dirty instantly. The furniture in the living room was badly broken and ripped as well, definitely not expected at this price point. The WiFi is spotty at times, not a huge deal in comparison to the unclean feeling. It’s obviously a dog friendly unit, so if you are looking for proximity to the beach and don’t mind the lack of cleanliness, this will probably work for you. Personally, I feel it was overpriced and in need of maintenance.

No coffee, broken ripped sofa, sad and rundown property.

Location was great. Beds were fine. Kitchen lacked basics (no coffee, no colander, not enough forks, just a few mugs and some had chips). Sofa was so uncomfortable! And ripped, broken, ugly. Some dirty dishes, hot pads. Place felt sad and neglected!

Great place!

Great place right by the beach, with super easy access. Very clean and had all kitchen things available for cooking, which was super convenient! Be aware that there are a lot of stairs if you’re traveling with little ones :)

Cute and clean townhouse near everything central oregon coast

Nice clean place to use as launching pad for exploring Oregon coast. Charming decor regardless of whether you are a Harry Potter fan. If you are it will bring back memories. Nice to be able to bring our dog along on the trip. Some minor maintenance issues but nothing that would bother anyone much. Kitchen is well stocked but some kind of instructions detailing what is needed to check out and how to access internet would be helpful. Overall great stay.
