Greenwood Lodge is our family's getaway—a place where we escape the pace of Northern Virginia to spend time outdoors together. We purchased the cabin in 2022 and have been continually improving both the cabin and the surrounding property ever since.

Unlike many vacation rentals, Greenwood Lodge was furnished and equipped for our own family's use first. We take pride in maintaining the property, adding thoughtful amenities, and creating a place where other families can make lasting memories.

We're always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and genuinely appreciate suggestions from our visitors.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this area because it offers the best of both worlds. Greenwood Lodge feels wonderfully secluded, surrounded by woods and wildlife, yet it's only minutes from Berkeley Springs, Hancock, the C&O Canal, and Interstate 68.

Whether you want to spend the day hiking, skiing, antiquing, visiting local breweries, relaxing at a spa, or simply sitting around a campfire under dark skies, everything is within easy reach. We especially enjoy introducing friends and family to Berkeley Springs, one of our favorite small towns in the region.

What makes this property unique

Many cabins offer beautiful interiors. What makes Greenwood Lodge different is the land.

The cabin sits on 20 private wooded acres that guests are welcome to explore. We've created a growing network of marked woodland trails, maintain the forest ourselves, and work to preserve the property's natural beauty and wildlife habitat. It's common to see deer, wild turkey, foxes, and many species of birds, and on occasion guests have even spotted black bears and bobcats.

After a day outdoors, families can gather around the fireplace, enjoy the game room, relax on the covered porch, or spend the evening around the fire pit beneath some of the darkest skies in the region.

Our goal isn't simply to provide a place to stay—it's to provide a place where families can slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy time together.
