German Village is a historic neighborhood just south of downtown Columbus, OH. Initially platted in 1814 in Columbus' South End, German Village was generally developed between years 1840 and 1914. It was settled largely by German immigrants in the mid-1800s. German descendants at one time comprised as much as one-third of the population of Columbus. Restoration began in 1959 and the Historic District was established in 1963. German Village was the FIRST historic district in the U.S. and it remains a model for all that came after. In the year 1974, German Village joined the Historic Register. Today, more than 1,600 preservations have been completed.

The townhouse was located in an ideal location within easy enjoyable walking distance to eateries, places to grab a coffee, an incredible book store, and one of the most beautiful churches I've been to - St. Mary's. The backyard was fine for our dog and there were plenty of places to walk him around the neighborhood. Great communication!
Host was very communicative about things we needed to know. There was apparently a small leak in one of the bedroom ceilings the day we were supposed to arrive, and they not only kept us updated but had it completely fixed before we ever checked in.We were within a block's walking distance from a cute coffee shop and a bookstore we'd been told to check out, and an easy few blocks' walk of numerous restaurants. We all agreed we'd gladly try to stay here again if we're planning a trip to Columbus. It was perfect for the four of us.
The place was exactly as listed! The host was great. I messaged before check-in if I could drop off my luggage, and they actually went ahead and told me that I could go ahead and check in, which was helpful since a lot of snow was coming in that day.

I don’t understand the 4 star rating as it appears the accommodation was as advertised.
Wonderful stay in German Village. The accommodations were exactly as stated. Extremely helpful with parking in front of the location. Would stay again.
We really enjoyed the connivence of the location. It was easy to get around the area and in a great location! The house was well stocked to suit our needs. The hosts were very attentive to our questions and responded quickly to any questions.
We loved our short stay in German Village. The property was clean, well appointed, great location and all around a perfect stay! The owners were very communicative and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We would definitely stay here again!
This was a perfect spot for us...walked across one street and had Stauf's coffee and wandered the amazing Book Loft. We walked to Schiller Park and to Katzingers and ate at Cento...just a great stay. Plenty of amenities for people like us who are..."basic."
Very easy check in, extremely comfortable beds, perfect location for exploring German Village and Columbus. Would happy recommend this property, and already have! Thanks Jennifer.
This was wonderful for visiting family. Walkable quiet and safe
