The house was well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of pillows to use. There was an extra large table that could accommodate all 20 of our party in the living area was the same. The beach was minutes away and usually deserted. There was also a wide variety of beach equipment for our use. the hosts were very helpful and easily available if I had a question. I highly recommend the Anahola house to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with a large group.
The house was spacious and worked out perfect for our family. the view of the beach was spectacular. We spent many days snorkeling fishing and playing in the surf. Most of the beach goers were local and the beach was not crowded.Joe was attentive and accommodating to our needs.
This was the perfect home for our vacation. The home and grounds were very well cared for. We were close to very family friendly beaches and shopping areas. The host were amazing to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Please experience this wonderful property for yourself.
Had an awesome stay at the Anahola Beach house. We had nine adults and six kids the owner thought of everything in putting together a wonderful beach home for a nice vacation. We loved easy access to the beach tons of beach, toys, beach chairs, etc..
Very welcoming host! Perfect location and size for our large group. Only complaint is the beds were very uncomfortable and hard. One room bed was practically on the floor, bedding did not fit correctly on any of the beds. All other amenities were excellent!
Fantastic location and perfect layout for big group. Great beach with awesome locals to hang out with. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. Highly recommend staying here.
This was a great place for our two families. Plenty of room for everyone, steps from the beach, not far from all the places we wanted to go. A great option, especially if you have a large group.
We loved our stay at this beautiful home in Anahola!! It was an older home and not super fancy, but so perfect in every way for our family of 25. My husband and I came with our kids and grandkids, and all had a wonderful time. It was
The place was amazing. There was room for everyone and they had plenty of everything you need in the kitchen. The view of the beach was amazing the beach was fun to boogie board and swim. We would book this place again.
Great House with lots of room to spread out. It was a short stroll to the ocean where we watched the sunrise while having a good morning cup of coffee. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and running from the surf. As we went on adventures away from the house we learned to get on the road before 10 AM to avoid the traffic.
The home was very spacious and clean. The view from the patio and beach is exactly what I was hoping for. The owners were easy to communicate with and gracious. I would definitely stay at this home again in the future if I returned to Kauai!
The home was huge and super comfortable, it was an older home but well taken care of, we all loved it..Lots of things for the kids to do and the beach was so close! We had a great time and are very grateful for the opportunity to stay there. The owner was great in getting back to me with any questions I had… the only drawback was that the beach was public so at night there would be cars parked there all night sometimes playing loud music
The owners provided exceptionally accurate descriptions of all aspects of the property. The many details, from places to eat to places to go, were great. There were 17 of us staying for 10 days, from 3 to 85 years old. Our 85-year-old handicapped (wheelchair bound) guest had no problems at all. Great place, great owners and a terrific vacation. Highly recommended!

Lovely view. Plenty bathrooms. Well equipped. Too far to comfortably carry canoes. Sprinkler needs work. Chairs and cushions on platform in the bushes are worse for wear. They should be removed. Needs trash pick up along road area. Beautiful, uncrowded beach. Loved the interior and the art pieces, the long dining table and comfortable living room chairs. Some sliding doors were difficult to open and close. All in all we very much enjoyed the home.
I have stayed in Kauai every five years to celebrate my milestone birthdays, and also to have a family reunion with my five children et al. The island offers many unique things to do and time to just relax and read good books. I rent two vehicles so that everyone can be free to explore.
Joe and Melody have an amazing home that is perfect for large groups. I brought 6 couples, 2 single friends, 4 teenagers, and 2 toddlers. There is plenty of room for everyone. The house is fully stocked with everything you need.
We especially liked the beach that is mostly visited by locals! They were friendly, helpful, and gracious.
I highly recommend this house!

About the host
Hosted by Joe & Melody Callero
Joe & Melody have been married for over 45 years. They have always been a hard working team. Joe was a carpet installer which grew into a flooring store. Joe ran the store, & Melody did the financials. They retired for the 2nd time (first time; they needed to take the business in 2008 to save 20+ jobs.). They managed to save enough for a family home on Kaua'i, but were lucky to find the Anahola Beach House waiting for them. They knew they could not afford it, but offered much lower than asking and it was accepted. They are thrilled to own such an amazing home in a very rare setting.
Why they chose this property
Our guest say it best: "" I set out to find a place that was on the beach and could accommodate our large family. I found exactly that when I found the Anahola Beach House. Plenty of room for everyone. Private bathrooms in all bedrooms gave everyone their own space while the living/kitchen/ dining area allows everyone a place to be together without any crowding. This was great, I have stayed in a few places that can sleep plenty of people but lack the space for everyone to eat and hang out together and this was just what our family needed on this trip. Great to be right on the beach and avoid loading sand covered kids in and out of vehicles. The kids had a blast catching lizards and opening coconuts in the yard. The house has a beautifully updated clean interior which was beyond expectation. The drive in and neighborhood of the beach area seems mostly local . Laid back cool local feel, not a resort area. Joe was very responsive to any questions or needs we had during our stay. Can't wait to go back. This was a special trip our family will always cherish"" - Mike Date of arrival - December 14, 2022
What makes this property unique
Private setting, large 5,000 sq. ft. single story home (except 5th & 6th bedrooms) , ( 4 bedrooms with private baths. Guests can enjoy their secluded suites and the community room is large to hold 20 guests comfortably. A game room with pool table and a Kid's wing, there's an abundance of space for large groups yet intimate and private. The perfect sanctuary for families, friends, and events such as weddings, anniversaries, artist and creative retreats, and any excuse to have the perfect large gathering in Paradise. History: We've been told by the neighbors that The Anahola Home was once owned by Thomas Hormel (Spam). He is an artist, patron and gallery owner. Parties were held at the home for celebrities and artists. The script "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" was rumored to have been written in the home, We recently acquired Pierce Brosnan's personal surfboard to add to many of our artwork from local Hawaiian artists. The walls of the home are covered in art like an art gallery. The Dali Lama holds Anahola Beach as sacred, and has slept in the home on his visits to Anahola Beach.
