Welcome to 725 Bexley Road, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906! We are so glad you decided to stay here. We hope you have a great time in West Lafayette, Indiana.
We are happy to share this special getaway with you. You are literally across Northwestern Avenue from Ross-Ade stadium and Mackey Arena. The rest of Purdue campus is accessible. City bus service is available every half hour along Northwestern Ave.
You'll enjoy entrusting your stay to this private home. Hopefully the home will help you enjoy your stay with all its amenities. Starting in the foyer, there are three options. Turn to your left to walk into the expansive living room with an adjacent den having a wall of windows that look out to a landscaped backyard and surrounding mature trees. The den features a pull-out queen size sleeper sofa, a 40" flat screen TV with Roku, shelves of games, and black out curtains. The living room features comfortable sofa and chairs, a 40" flat screen TV with Roku, a fireplace, and a foosball table. The living room also opens up into an office connected to the kitchen, a convenient half bathroom, and a hallway that takes you back to the foyer. The foyer is also the base of the stairs leading to the second floor. Starting back again in the foyer, turn to your right to enter the dining room where you can enjoy a dinner cooked at home, or delivered from one of our many nearby restaurants. The dining room features: a dining table with seating for 8 people. The dining room also connects to the kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen features everything you need to cook meals at home. An expansive pantry and laundry room round out the interior first floor. Stairs lead up to the second floor bedrooms and two full bathrooms. After a busy day, soak in either bathtub, walk on the radiant heated floor in the main bathroom, and soundly sleep in any one of the three quiet and restful bedrooms which have triple paned windows. Each bed offers: queen size memory foam mattresses, eco friendly sheets, and blackout curtains.
During your stay you will appreciate that you are less than a mile from each of the following: Purdue campus, Ross-Ade Stadium, Mackey Arena, Birck Golf Complex, Folk Field and Boilermaker Soccer Complex, Schwartz Tennis Center, Alexander Field, Celery Bog Nature Area, Faith West including Cafe Literato and community playground, Happy Hollow Park, and West Lafayette downtown full of restaurants, bars, and attractions.
The West Lafayette Parks Recreation and Trail Map shows some fantastic parks, trails, and footpaths available in the neighborhood. My favorite is the Celery Bog Nature Area/Lilly Nature Center. There is an area to sit and watch nature. Animals come to the area and you can observe animals in their natural habitat.
Please keep in mind that 725 Bexley Road was built in 1936. While not a historic house, you may not find as many electrical outlets as in a modern home. There are HVAC vents in the floor or adjacent to the floor. You can easily lose coins, keys, etc. to a vent or an old laundry shute if not careful. The fireplace is currently not available until it has been inspected. We ask that any window is carefully opened or closed.
Also the City of West Lafayette has rental housing occupancy limits of either (1) one family and no more than two unrelated occupants or (2) no more than three unrelated occupants. The City requires submission of an Occupancy Affidavit stating the names and relationships of each occupant. Please complete both the rental agreement and the West Lafayette Occupancy Affidavit when booking your stay.
You should find everything that you need, but if you have a question that isn't covered in here, please do get in touch and let me know how I can help. We hope you enjoy yourself and visit again in the future!

Yes, the kitchen was stocked for cooking and plenty of dinner service wear. Hot tub seemed hot. Everything was clean and functional, plenty of bathrooms, and the proximity to Purdue U can't be beat.
We have stayed here several times and have always had a great experience. The location is the best and perfect for enjoying a game at Mackey Arena. There is so much space and we loved the hot tub. The host provides exceptional communication and is always so helpful.

Thank you as always for your very kind words Tara!
5 out of 5 stars. The property was clean, well maintained, and suited our family exactly right. Each of the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were exceptional. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in back yard. The jacuzzi was a real treat after much exploring of the Purdue campus. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We hope to return again soon!
Excellent location and nice layout provided space for everyone to hang together or split off for some privacy. Bathroom set up made it easy for everyone to get ready at once.
Amazing location right across from Mackey Arena. The house is spacious and perfect for a large group with updated bathrooms and a stocked kitchen. Cedric was a great host and I look forward to staying here over the next few years.
Really enjoyed our stay here, and the owners kiddos made us a special treat to enjoy with our Easter dinner!! Great, clean home with all the supplies and amenities you need for a great family stay and an awesome location for Purdue visitors!

Loved this stay. House was charming and well appointed, and it was so nice to have a great outdoor space to share memories and laughs with our boys. The location was great and the house was spacious. Great option for mom’s weekend with our Purdue Pikes. Would definitely

When 725 Bexley Road came on the market, literally across Northwestern Avenue from Ross-Ade stadium and Mackey Arena, we were immediately smitten.
Similar to 1515 Northwestern Avenue, 725 Bexley Road provided another opportunity to purchase a nearly century old home. Unlike 1515 Northwestern Avenue which we seek to update into a modern home while keeping or restoring the 1930s character, such as the many interior window shutters, 725 Bexley Road has had at least two additions.
The fireplace is currently not available until it has been inspected.
All of the rooms are relatively quiet given the triple paned windows, even with to the busy street, Northwestern Avenue, outside.
Turning this 1936 house into a short term rental provides our family a number of opportunities for our children to get involved in the short term rental business and home renovations. So far with 1515 Northwestern Avenue, our children have been involved in opening boxes, putting away house supplies, building furniture, and making up beds. So far with 1515 Northwestern Avenue, they have also assisted with parking cars during home Purdue football games and selling lemonade, chips, Cub Scout popcorn, etc. During renovations of 1515 Northwestern Avenue, we hope to teach our children the systems of the house: electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Similar to 1515 Northwestern Avenue, we seek to get our children involved with setting up 725 Bexley Road as a short term rental. We also seek to have them stay involved in the operations of both short term rentals, making gifts for the guests, etc.
We welcome you to join us on this journey. We hope you as guests will return over time to see the transformation of this house. Your booking revenue is funding the renovations. Thank you!
Why they chose this property
We read The Family Board Meeting (https://www.18summers.com/book/) and realized that we only have 18 summers with our kids, currently 14, 14, 11, and 10 years old. One of our 14 year old twins has a God given talent for hospitality. Our 11 year old daughter is a natural entrepreneur. We already have a few long term rentals. We were looking for opportunities to incorporate our rental businesses with teaching our children new talents. Similar to Cleaning House (https://www.amazon.com/Cleaning-House-Twelve-Month-Experiment-Entitlement/dp/0307730670) we sought to cultivate our children's gifts and talents in entrepreneurship. After staying in a few short term vacation rentals, we were interested in incorporating short term vacation rentals into teaching our children in the way they should go. Destination Station (725 Bexley Road) is quite a find. Destination Station was built in 1936 (before the nearby Frank Lloyd Wright Samara House (http://samara-house.org/)). Destination Station is literally across Northwestern Avenue from Ross-Ade stadium, Mackey Arena, and near the rest of Purdue campus. We are looking forward to the opportunity to restore this house over time. A 1936 house does not always have enough electrical outlets that work. Fortunately, Destination Station has had at least a couple of additions over time. There are two full bathrooms upstairs.
What makes this property unique
Within 0.5 miles to each of the following: Purdue including Ross-Ade Stadium and Mackey Arena, Birck golf complex, Celery Bog Nature Area, Frank Lloyd Wright's Samara House, and Faith West including a community playground and Cafe Literato. We just hardwired an Emporia Level 2 EV Charger at Destination Station for up to 48A of charging! The charger comes with a SAE J1772 connector. Tesla drivers, please note your adapter is required. The charger has a 24' cable with integrated cable management. Just check it out in the garage (to keep the electric vehicle charging as fast as possible). Please feel free to use this charger for free as part of your booking! If you run into any issues, please let me know. I have the Emporia app on my phone and may be able to help.
