I stayed at the Augusta Cabins with a good friend, we loved the property. We would have loved some alternate sitting arrangements but were very pleased with our stay.
It as advertised, close to the water, with some good fishing,, max was very helpful, the bed was a tad bit small for my wife and I but she loved the soft mattress, I would stay again 👍
This is such a special place! Rustic 1940's lake cabins have kept the historic feel but have been updated with modern amenities like great WiFi! Quiet and peaceful but with access to a "big" lake for boating and short distance to town for groceries/gas/sunblock/etc. The property is well maintained, and owner is very responsive and accommodating. I hope to go back!
Cabin had no stove but we hadn't planned on doing much cooking, a grill was available, but we didn't use it. The bed was very comfortable. The place was cozy for two and a great view of the lake. Firepit was available and firewood available to purchase. This would be an ideal location for several couples to rent individual cabins and just hang out together at the lake.
Cabin #2 was perfect for two adults. Fishing on lake Agusta and clear water lake was wonderful. We caught large mouth bass, northern pike, walleye and bluegill effortlessly.
The resort is missing a fish cleaning station, but we made it work. (note: there was no stove and the refrigerator was not full size). Overall, we recommend the cabin based on cost and amenities.
Stayed for 5 nights with my mom and dog, the cabin was cute on the inside, she slept on the bed, I was on the pullout for one night and ended up using a blow up bed I brought for the rest of the nights. Property was smaller than expected but it was nice to be close to the water. Rented the pontoon which was nice. Whenever we needed anything it was at our door in a very timely manner. Parking wasn’t the greatest, we were in cabin 2 and had to haul our stuff, had to walk down a little hill and between cabin 3 & 4 to get to our place.
We had higher expectations...advertised kitchen, but no stove...only (1) hot plate...minimum of silverware, furniture in cabin were uncomfortable...no tv...should let renters know what is NOT supplied and available at cabins. Mosquitos were terrible and had tAo stay inside most of time!
On the positive side the bed was somewhat comfortable and we were right by the lake.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment—we couldn’t agree more!
For future guests, we encourage everyone to carefully review the property description and amenities before booking. If you're looking for a luxury resort, this may not be the right fit. However, if you’re seeking a serene lake experience surrounded by nature and staying in a cozy, vintage cabin, this is the perfect place for you.
Please note that, as of this comment, the cabin does not have a TV, and cooking is facilitated with hot plates, microwave and outdoor gas grill.
We always strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, so don’t hesitate to reach out to the host during your visit with any specific requests or questions.

Every Saturday morning, don't miss the largest flea market in Minnesota just a mile down the road. Upon arrival, you will find the local magazine left at your cabin with details to the summer calendar.
Dining and Shopping: Explore the local dining scene on the lake or nearby towns and shops in Annandale. Discover unique eateries, cafes, brewery and boutiques for a taste of the local culture.
Visit Nearby Towns: Discover Fairhaven Farm a beautiful apple orchard located 7min away and explore nearby towns and their attractions. Whether it's historical sites, museums, or charming downtown areas, there's often something new to discover.
What makes this property unique
Upon your arrival at Lake Augusta Cabins you will find a dirt road with a steep down hill ahead. No worries, there is plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill.
Feel free to bring your water crafts to explore the lakes. We recommend leaving your boat trailer at the top of the road before the gate. Depending on the size of the boat and how busy the parking area may, turning around with a trailer could be limited.
Boat launch is only a mile away on Clearwater Lake. Use nearby channel to get to Lake Augusta. Boats with tall rigid designs should be mindful of water levels as you will need to go under a bridge. Most fishing boats, pontoons and speed boat with adjustable Bimini's go through with ease.
There is a Marina and bait shops close by where you will be able to get all the essentials.
