About the host
Hosted by Erin Ahart

My husband, Jim, was raised in Iowa and I, Erin, was raised on Massachusetts. We came to the area because of horses and stayed to renovate this property. We want to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible!
Why they chose this property
This building was an abandoned nursing home that we purchased without a plan! The building is shaped like an X with 4 wings and a giant common area in the middle. The front 2 wings of the building have 7 apartments in each one and the back 2 wings are businesses. Currently we have a dog groomer, a photography studio, dance studio and paint studio in the first business wing. The middle section is currently being renovated to add a bar and seating area, eventually we will add a restaurant as well. We have long term tenants who rent for the year as well as mid term tenants who rent monthly and then short term tenants who are in the area for just a bit, many times visiting "home". We have hosted guests from California to Massachusetts and so many states in between. It has been a joy to meet people and give them a place to stay where they are comfortable. To hear "oh this is so nice" is always our goal. We have heard from our mid term renters, many who are traveling nurses or contractors, "I wish all the places I stayed were this nice". We would love to have you visit us!
