The pool and live oaks were gorgeous! Great kitchen, beds, and lots of towels! We loved grilling and using the pool while watching World Cup games on outdoor TV! Best of all...location two steps from the Village so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We have rented lots of houses on SSI, but this tops them all. Sweet and helpful host.

The house is perfect in so many ways. Walking to shopping and eating, with an oasis of a backyard. The pool and outdoor kitchen is an amazing place for families to hang out together. The house is clean and has nice furnishings too! We had a wonderful time.

We had such a wonderful week at the Mint Julep with our pups. The home and outdoor space were truly dreamy, and the easy walk to downtown St. Simons made everything even better. We left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. We can’t wait to return — St. Simons Island is our favorite place to spend spring.

2026 Summer Trip

We have been coming to the Mint Julep now for 4 years and it never disappoints! The house is always in great condition and the host is always quick to respond with any questions or requests. The house is also in a perfect location with easy access to the St Simons pier area with shops and restaurants. The beach is not far away either with a short drive or golf cart ride. Our family loves the pool area and the layout of the house as well.

This was our second time staying at the Mint Julep and it was just as great as the first! Great, walkable, location and great home to enjoy our time in SSI. We’ll certainly be back again!

Wonderful home and location

Home was even better than the pictures. Spacious and the backyard was great. Pool was very clean and stayed warm throughout the trip. Location was literally right next to the village. Made it easy to walk to plenty of shoppes and restaurants and about a 10 minute walk to a very quiet beach. Jessica is a great host and we’d love to stay there again!

Mint Julep is a must when on St. Simons

Beautiful property! Communication with the host was great! Loved the back yard pool area, and that the entire back yard was fenced. This allowed our dogs to enjoy vacation as well. The home is well stocked from the kitchen to items for you to enjoy on the beach. Beds were so comfortable! Location cannot be beat! You are a short walk to the village/pier area. We will definitely stay again at Mint Julep!

Very nice house, well renovated, decently appointed kitchen. “Hotel” next door playing pool music in the afternoons is mildly annoying. Fabulous location, very walkable. We love the area, and the giant live oak in the back yard is simply stunning! Our frisbee-chasing border collie (Beckett) LOVED the Astro turf back yard. We liked the fire table (Beckett not so much).

Beach Trip

Our family was visiting a college friend & turned the trip into a beach vacation. The house was super stylish & trendy decor. The pool was perfect & best spot to cool off from the heat. Location is so close to the village. We enjoyed walking for meals, ice cream, & shopping. Walkable distance to the pier. Recommend driving or renting a golf cart to get to the beaches. Public parking is available for both. We hope to come back again & look forward to staying at Mint Julep!

Beach Vacation

Upon first entry of the home we could tell the house was well maintained and decorated elegantly . The large windows on the back of the house allow you to see all the way through to the amazing backyard. A screened in porch served as a transition between the home and backyard which offered a peaceful relaxation. The backyard is one that can be enjoyed at all hours of the day. The new addition of the grilling area is amazing. Our kids loved being able to have a movie playing while also swimming in the pool. The inside of the house was really well designed. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. The bedrooms were comfortable and our kids really enjoyed the bunk bed room. The location of the Mint Julep is also perfect offering easy walking distance to the shops/restaurants and the pier. Public beach access was also not far away with a short drive in the car or even accessible by golf cart. Overall, we highly recommend the Mint Julep when staying in St Simons as it offers so much for a wonderful vacation.

Had a wonderful stay !! Loved to be able to walk to restaurants and not stay in car so much. Fence in backyard was wonderful for our dog. Property was very clean and had everything we needed.My only suggestion is to put a tv in all bedrooms.Enjoyed our stay very much !!
