Sweeping views and easy access to year-round recreation are yours at this scenic Blue Ridge Mountain perch. Nestled just outside the town of Black Mountain, this 3,200 square-foot home makes a perfect escape for friends or family looking to indulge in the all-season splendor of Western North Carolina.

Take in endless views from the private deck while enjoying morning coffee and alfresco meals at the table or relax around the gas fire table with your favorite nightcap for some starlight relaxation. The downstairs game room comes ready to host family fun with an assortment of games and entertainment options including darts, Ping-Pong, Skee-ball, foosball, board games, and a smart TV with a plush recliner and sectional. There's even a bar and dedicated beverage fridge for keeping happy hour libations on-hand. For remote working needs, there's also an office desk and chair. The main living room offers a comfortable sofa, fireplace, and smart TV if you're looking for some more casual downtime. Family mealtimes are made easy in the sparkling full kitchen. There's eat-in seating and the dining table can accommodate everyone for group dinners. As the evening winds down, take a soothing soak in the new hot tub.

A bedroom and shared, full bathroom are located downstairs. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms can be found on the main floor, including the primary suite. Two bedrooms share access to a full bathroom.

Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. This rental is a true Mountain home. The road leading up the mountain to the property provides a true mountain experience. Those not familiar with Western North Carolina mountain roads should prepare to arrive before dark to allow navigating the steep, narrow and windy road. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC. All Vacasa properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes: dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher packet, laundry packet. Bathrooms will have 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Great Stay

A beautiful house that was more than big enough! The hot tub worked great and we had beautiful views day and night! The house was just a short drive to Biltmore house and downtown Ashville. The enclosed dog running area was a nice surprise. We highly recommend staying here.

The house was very pretty and well decorated. Kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you would need to cook/prepare meals. The road in may seem a bit scary but it was not hard to drive and worth it for the view.

Beautiful mountain home!

The home was great! It is located about halfway between Asheville and Chimney Rock and worked great to visit Asheville and to explore the mountains and falls to the East. The house was such a wonderful place to spend time with our college-aged kids. The game room was a big hit for them, and we loved coffee in the morning out on the patio soaking in the gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again!

This property is absolutely beautiful. So very clean, well appointed and comfortable. The game equipment was really enjoyed. The views are spectacular. Driveway to garage is very steep but manageable. We would love to be in this place for the leaves in the fall. Highly recommend this property.

Excellent jewel in the mountains

This home was an amazing place for my family and I to stay for a winter Christmas getaway. It was close enough to Asheville that we could drive and enjoy things to do there while also feeling secluded and private. The view was super nice! Cherry on top is that we were able to bring our dogs along with us and they loved the place as well! The backyard was just big enough for them to potty, so not a lot of running space but we didn’t mind. The games and other indoor amenities were very fun and cozy as well! Thank you for opening your home to us!

Amazing Mountain Views

The home was beautiful and immaculate. Enjoyed cooking a meal in the well stocked kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. As expected in the mountains the road leading to the home is narrow and the driveway is steep (not ideal for our 15 passenger van). Once we figured out how to back in we had no issues. Wonderful getaway to North Carolina!

Relaxing Getaway

My boyfriend and I wanted some time away from the world and this spot did not disappoint. It truly felt like we were tucked away in our own world. The pictures do not do it justice. Heads-up that the driveway is very steep. I had to get out while my boyfriend mustered the courage. It was all well worth it. Plenty of games to play in addition to those shown. And only 25 minutes to Asheville.

Perfect for Staying In

We ran around a lot, so getting to and from was a bit inconvenient with the roads leading up and down to the m house and the driveway was very difficult to get of in a van (would recommend 4WD if using the larger driveway section). Game room was a big winner for the kids, house was beautiful, the hot tub was nice, and the view was perfect. If we were staying in more and not hiking and checking out breweries it would have been the ideal spot, but with all the back and forth the location was probably not the most ideal for us. That one is on us though!

True Mountain Experience

If you’re looking for a place to truly disconnect, this is a great spot. It is a very steep (and somewhat treacherous) climb up the road to get to the property, and a very steep driveway which has been noted in the listing. Please be aware as you book this place. The home itself was perfect for our needs. With two small children, they had bedrooms upstairs while the adults could relax downstairs with a full game room and hot tub. The kitchen was very well stocked which was very helpful. All the amenities were covered at this house and I would recommend it to others—especially those with larger parties—as well!

Peak Perfection

This was our second stay at Winston's Ridge, and we could not be happier with how delightful the area is, how gorgeous the views are, and how perfect the home is - it is cozy, so well-equipped, peaceful, FUN, and versatile to work for a variety of types of groups/individuals (family, families, friends, etc.) with 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms! We had 4 adults and 4 kids (along with the pups) with plenty of space. It also has several different areas to hang out, which is so great for kids and adults. We absolutely love our weekends that we have spent here because they actually feel like a break from the chaos. Our whole family is counting down until our next visit! Thank you for creating such a perfect space for our family to enjoy and make so many sweet memories.

The house was great! We had 4 adults, 4 children and one dog and we all fit very comfortably in the house. It was well stocked with items you may need and very beautifully decorated. The furniture and beds were all very comfortable. The downstairs area was the best and where we spent most of the time down there when we were at the house. We all loved all of the games. The kids had a blast. It was so fun! The back porch was great to sit out on in the morning with a cup of coffee. When people say the road up to the house and the driveway are a bit treacherous they aren't lying. I learned to drive in Asheville so mountain roads don't bother me but it is pretty steep and narrow. The driveway is very steep and that kind of freaked me out a little. But I did it with my Subaru Crosstrek (all wheel drive). You definitely need a 4 wheel drive in the winter. But they make you aware of this when booking so it's not a surprise. Asheville was about a 25ish minute drive, not horrible but not super close, again you are aware of this at booking. The house was just lovely and we all loved our stay!

Brilliant Mountain Getaway

Had a fantastic weekend at Winston’s Ridge! Was a very spacious home with all the amenities we needed and a few we didn’t know we’d need; skee-ball, ping pong, fenced-in dog run, and a real fireplace to cozy up to in the evenings. Being a short drive to Asheville, this spot provided the perfect balance of a relaxing getting away with plenty of things nearby to do. The host’s instructions were clear and thorough so no confusion about how things worked or what we needed to do, ensuring we could spend our time on the deck enjoying the mountain-side views. Will definitely be re-visiting Winston’s Ridge in the future.
