Enjoy your morning coffee or tea while you sit out on the large Balcony as you watch the most spectacular Atlantic Ocean Sunrises you will ever witness.

Walk across the street to Harry Harris beach for a walk in the sand, maybe take the little ones to the sand filled playground for some fun in the sun or enjoy a swim in the enclosed and protected beach.

Take your boat to the ramp just across the street and enjoy world class fishing and diving just minutes away, or have local fishing guide pick you up from the dock.

The Beach House is located on MM 92 of the Florida Keys, in the small town of Tavernier. It is close to countless amazing restaurants, wild life sanctuarys, John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park, World famous Tiki Bar, Robbie's Resort and Thirsty Tarpon Bay, where you hand feed huge Tarpons, Theatre of The Seas Aquarium where you can swim with Dolphins, countless local arts and crafts shops, shopping and entertainment areas, hospital, food markets, and many other attractions and amenities.

A drive to World Famous Key West will take about two hours and we highly recommend everyone to do it. While there make sure to stroll down Duval street and have a frozen drink in FAT Tuesdays, maybe eat a Sloppy burger at Sloppy Joes, or visit our favorite bar & grill in the Island, HOG FISH Bar & Grill in Stock Island, you will thank me later. After you drink and eat and shop and party, go to Blue Heaven and have the "BEST" Key Lime pie you will ever eat, another local favorite spot in Key West. Then after a crazy fun day, go straight to Mallory Square to watch the local street performers, buy local art and, by far, the best part of your visit to the Island is to enjoy a Sun Set you will only witness while in Key West, again you will thank me later.

Great Vacation!

My family could not have been happier with our Keys vacation. The home was outstanding and our hosts where an absolute dream to deal with. 5 stars does not due this vacation location justice. We will be staying again.

Perfect Stay

The ocean view was wonderful! Being across from the park was a bonus. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the boats in the ocean. The neighbors were friendly and it was very quiet at night. The house was clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Enjoyed the outside eating area and hot tub. The location is very convenient for access to the Everglades along with the lower keys. We have stayed at a lot of rentals and this was one of the best. Hope to return soon.

Nice, clean rental!

Our family of five (kids ages 15, 13, & 6) enjoyed our stay at this nice, clean rental. Everything was in great condition. The bed in the master suite was very comfortable! The outside was actually nicer than the photos on this site. The beach across the street was very nice. The snorkeling off the fishing pier was great! (Go just before sunset!). We saw lobsters, shrimp, sting rays, horseshoe crab, tons of fish, etc. Bring water shoes if you plan to snorkel here! Overall, a great place to stay!

Loved this place!

There's not much I can say about this rental that hasn't already been said in previous reviews. I agree with everything. Dottie is a gem and quick to respond to any of my questions. Unfortunately I had to cut my vacation short because of this darned Corona virus. Hopefully my future stays will be uninterrupted!

AWESOME!

Beautiful home. The place is spacious and looks brand new. Right across the street from the boat ramp at Harry Harris Park. The screened in porch looked out over the Atlantic Ocean and the boat ramp. The morning sunrise and evening show at the boat ramp gave use hours of emtertainment, especially on the weekends. The proximity of the boat ramp made it convenient to launch our boat and park the trailer at the house on busy weekends. The owners were easy too contact and very helpful. We will definitely stay hear again. Loved the place!

Clean, Beautiful home!! Great place to just sit back and relax.

Since day one we found everything clean arranged and very welcoming. Also , having the beach in front was a big help with our kids, seeing the ocean every morning and the decoration of the house was very relaxing. The house is very comfortable, the rooms are very spacious, the kitchen is beautiful and the laundry room was a big help. And of course the Tiki Hut with the jacuzzi and the BBQ was just excellent, the kids enjoyed the jacuzzi very much ( we all did). As a matter of fact it is the first time we go away for more than 5 days that we did not miss home at all. I would recommend this home to any family that wants to get away but still have all the comforts of home. Dorothy was very pleasant and and easy to work with. Great vacation rental!!

Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I were looking for warm getaway but still wanted to feel safe during the pandemic - something less crowded. This terrific place was exactly what we were looking for. Could not have chosen a better home for our trip. The house was immaculate and owners were very responsive. So very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable. We had everything we needed plus some luxury things like hot tub in the evening under the starry sky(!) . When it was a problem with this amenity, owners responded immediately, it was in order ASAP. The location is perfect - Harry Harris Park was just in front of us - swimming, jogging, walking.... Spent most of our month on the porch, enjoyed spectacular sea view and breeze. We just can’t say enough good things. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We needed this respite and time to recharge. We would love to stay there again!

"JUST BEAUTIFUL!"

The first Day there, I told Dorothy, we have a problem! " I may NOT be leaving!" Bring a bike & cruise in & out of the Park across the street. I ran out of propane for the grill & she had it replaced in minutes. "JUST A BEAUTIFUL HOME!

Beautiful waterfront stay

We enjoyed an extended stay here and found Dottie the owner to be kind, responsive and hospitable. A favorite moment of each day was sitting on the screened porch and looking out over the water. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises from the living room and porch. The hot tub and outdoor bar and grill were also a treat. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Cleaning supplies provided to keep the place looking nice. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.

Fantastic Place to Stay!

Escaping the cold of winter, we spent two months at this unit and could not have been happier. Appearing to have been rather recently remodeled, it lives up to its billing in every sense. There does not seem to be any amenity the unit lacks and there are more than adequate supplies of basic items. The location off the busy Overseas Highway is a plus with minimal traffic for walking, jogging, or bicycling, and the location across from the county park allows for a pleasant view and interesting (and amusing) activities at the boat launch. We particularly enjoyed the outside grounds with the tiki hut, spa, and barbecue and enjoying al fresco dining on the capacious front porch. The owners are very accommodating and were quick to respond to the one problem we had with the water heater which was fixed the same day it was reported (not necessarily an easy feat in the Keys!). Having stayed at many similar properties, we feel this may be the best, if you do stay here, enjoy those spectacular Atlantic sunrises!

Everything We Expected and More

This property was the lynchpin in a perfect getaway for two couples. The house was clean, spacious, and nicely furnished inside, in great working order, with two master suites, laundry facilities, full kitchen with granite countertops and plenty of kitchen tools and dishes, satellite TV, and high-speed internet. The two best features, however, are outside: a screened porch with a spectacular view of the ocean, perfect for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, and a separate tiki area with outdoor kitchen (including gas grill), covered dining area, and a large hot tub, all surrounded by a 6-foot privacy fence. In fact, the hot tub was our favorite destination every evening and the best part of a trip that would have been fantastic even without it. The property is ideally located in the Keys as well--close to shops, local restaurants, and grocery stores on Key Largo, close enough to Miami for a day trip if you like, and only a couple of hours from Key West. Key Largo is definitely more low-key (pardon the pun) than Key West. The neighborhood was quiet for our stay, but Harry Harris Park is in easy walking distance (literally across the street) for shelling, sunbathing, or a dip in the lagoon. Although there is some sand in the lagoon area, as with almost everywhere in the Keys, don't expect a traditional sandy beach--if that's your goal, look elsewhere in Florida--but there are lots of nature-oriented things to do in the immediate area. The park's boat ramp, which is dead ahead of this property, provided lots of entertainment as drivers of various skill levels attempted to back their boat trailers down the ramp. Do try some of the local restaurants on the island. We enjoyed Harriette's (breakfast and lunch--try the muffins) and Tower of Pizza while we were there. For sweet treats, we enjoyed Key Largo Chocolates and Ice Cream. The owner was extremely helpful with our booking. All our pre-booking questions were answered promptly. Although our stay was entirely drama-free, we got the impression that the owner would have been responsive to any concerns. This property is definitely at the top of our list for a return trip.

Wonderful Home Away From Home!

Since we travel to Key Largo a few times a year for scuba diving, we recently decided that a vacation rental would be much more comfortable than a hotel room for a week's stay. After doing my research on VRBO, I was fortunate to find this amazing rental...it was just perfect for us! This trip we traveled with another couple for a week of diving. The layout of this home was ideal for two couples. There were two bedrooms with a king sized bed in each, and each had its own attached bathroom - just what we needed! The home was well furnished and we found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. We enjoyed the comfortable living room with satellite TV and the spacious screened in balcony with an AMAZING view of the ocean! There is a privacy fenced area outside surrounding the hot tub, BBQ grill and patio table. The guys discovered the music controls under the gazebo and we had some fun times out there! The only complaint I have is that Dairy Queen is located right down the street...after our daily stops for a "Blizzard" after our scuba diving outings, my cholesterol level is through the roof :-) Dottie was so helpful with any questions I had. She answered all e-mails promptly and could not have made the experience any easier. Our deposit was mailed back to us just a few days after we departed! I would highly recommend this vacation rental for a visit to the Keys!

Watch the boats come and go from a beautiful screen porch!

We loved staying here. The home has many amenities: two, very comfortable, king size beds, granite countertops, walk in shower, new appliances, outdoor kitchen, hot tub, large parking area for cars and boats, and a large screen porch that extends across the entire front of the house. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful view of the ocean and the park across the street. The owners were very helpful and thoughtful and prompt in answering questions.

Wonderful Home!

This house was perfect. It was exactly like the photos, very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our week here and would definately return. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish at Robbies, snorkeling at the state park, and of course hanging out at the beach. Dorothy was wonderful to work with and gave us great suggestions for family activites and restaurants.

Once again, a wonderful place to stay!!

After staying at Dorothy's house in 2010, we knew that we could not go wrong in deciding to return this year. The location is perfect whether you want spend time in Southern Florida, drive to Key West, or even stay right at the house all the time. The house is immaculate, and has everything you need to feel right at home. I especially enjoyed getting up early every morning to sit on the front porch and watch the sunrise over the ocean. It just does not get any better!! I highly recommend this property for a couple, family, or even a "friends getaway".
