Close enough to Albuquerque to make getting around easy. Far enough away to create a peaceful environment. Quiet sunrise. Watching the weather over the landscape from the hot tub. Hummingbirds and many other things make for a very serene stay.
Spent much of the time in the deck enjoying the outdoors and watching some of the wildlife. The house was nice and clean and made for a good weekend getaway.
We enjoyed our stay in the Sandia mountains. The view from the back deck was amazing. We were close to the Sandia ski resort which was very nice. The host was very friendly. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
We had an absolutely amazing stay! The property was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.Kids also had the unique experience of feeding the horses and chickens. The house itself was spotless and well-equipped with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a bit of countryside charm. Can't wait to come back!
My son and I needed a weekend away and this was perfect for us. Having some animal friends around to go visit was an added perk! We highly recommend it.
We had a wonderful time at Danny’s property. His home is in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by mountains and about 30 minutes from downtown Albuquerque. We greatly enjoyed morning coffee on the deck as well as giving some carrots to Cougar the horse. Lots of nice hikes in the area. Would definitely stay again
This was my first Vrbo stay. Beautiful home and clean. Easy check in instructions. Cougar the horse was the highlight of the house for my son. Very enjoyable stay.
The check in and out process was very simple and made for an easy stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything we could need was available and we felt right at home. My boys age 7 and 10 loved the property and feeding Cougar the horse. It was wonderful relaxing on the deck and we even got to watch the northern lights one lucky evening. We especially loved being out of the hustle and bustle of town but not far from the balloon festival and other activities in Albuquerque.
Our five night stay at Danny’s mountain home was very relaxing and enjoyable. The home is well equipped with the amenities as described and then some. Sitting out on the deck with the beautiful view was excellent. Even though Albuquerque isn’t that far from the home, the mountains to the west took care of a lot of the city lights, so we could still enjoy the star filled night sky. If we get down to that area again, we will definitely stay there again.
A quick drive from Albuquerque rings you to the peaceful mountains of Tijeras. The patio is the show stealer, it’s so serene from night to day. At night you can see the whole sky and in the morning you can sit on the patio and watch the hummingbirds! Danny was a delight to work with and quick to respond. There’s also a beautiful horse named Cougar who is the sweetest boy right at the front gate! Such a fun/relaxing stay. Would absolutely book again.
Sandia Serenity Mountain home has everything one could want for a relaxing, comfortable getaway in the country. It has beautiful views of the countryside and is located on an expanse of fenced land that my dog absolutely loved exploring freely - she had a blast! The kitchen is huge and has every possible amenity, so we were all set. It was cold and snowy outside during our stay which was exciting for us while the house was warm and cozy inside. Our host was extremely responsive and helpful and provided us with local information we could not have gotten otherwise. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this beautiful mountain home to others. I hope to go back again soon!
First off, let me give a few warning to fellow travelers who stay here!!
1. The horse is gonna melt your socks off!!
2. The house is stocked with about everything you need to cook a meal, except your ingredients.
Spices, cookware, all the things!! I forgot a few things at the store, no worries, Danny had them.
3. Do not, repeat, DO NOT let Google Maps get you lost!! It's Gutierrez CANYON Road! And it's all paved. If Maps tries to send you down a dirt road, it's a lie, turn around. Don't get stuck in a hailstorm like we did, LOL
In all seriousness, Danny's place is a slice of heaven on Earth. When we finally found the proper street and made our way there, it was INCREDIBLE! Serene, beautiful, quiet, just amazing.
We travel through Tijeras a few times a year and we will definitely stay again.
Bring carrots for Cougar, the horse. He's a sweetheart.
We loved staying at the remote house outside of Albuquerque. Everything was perfect, great communication with the owner, peaceful area, and very reasonable price. My family and I will definitely be back!
