You'll have close proximity to 30+ wineries/breweries, the Shenandoah National Park, the Appalachian Trail, the Shenandoah River, horseback riding, and hunting preserves. Or relax at home, with an indoor pool/ping pong table and music nook, as well as an outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Whitetail Summit is family and pet-friendly, and has two dedicated work-from-home spaces, and a gym/Peloton.

DEER: Many Whitetail deer reside in the area, and you are almost certain to see some during your stay. We are transitioning our lawn to a natural deer habitat, so you are likely to get an up-close view. Please drive with caution and do not disturb them. While there are nearby preserves for hunting, hunting is not permitted at Whitetail Summit.

Whitetail Summit is paradise for you, your kids, and your pups! Enjoy stunning mountain views less than 5 minutes from the Shenandoah River; hiking directly adjacent to the property; and 12 minutes from several of Virginia's best wineries. You'll also be 15 minutes from horseback riding, and around the corner from the Ashby Inn, one of Virginia's most storied restaurants. Whitetail Summit is perfectly located West of Middleburg (20 mi), North of Front Royal (14 mi), and Southeast of Winchester (20 mi), in the Shenandoah Farms subdivision.

Note: If you're coming for a vineyard tour, we can extend our membership to Delaplane Cellars and offer you four free tastings to get your day started.

You'll have to make the climb to enjoy the view. Our property is located one mile down a well-maintained gravel road, and up a moderately steep hill. We recommend AWD drive during inclement weather and the winter months.

About the host

Host profile image
Hello, I'm Jenny! My husband Craig and I have lived in the Washington, DC area for 14 years and we try to enjoy all it has to offer. When we're not working full-time downtown, we frequent live music venues, explore new restaurants, and walk around the city with our dog Charlie. We found ourselves frequenting the Shenandoah Valley so often that we got a mountain chalet in 2022 for better access to the natural beauty of the area. We are experienced DC hosts but are looking forward to hosting you in the mountains.
