There is indoor 'on demand' hot water and a generator should electricity be occasionally needed. Our cabin also offers a phone, full indoor bath, kitchen furnished with basic eating and cooking utensils, propane refrigerator, propane range, living area, dining area, etc. The ambiance is superb with the warmth of quaint propane wall sconces providing light each night. Linens & towels provided.

Chairs are provided on the porch to relax & enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Convenient to many North Fork attractions including The Polebridge Mercantile, Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant and Glacier National Park. The 'MERC' provides groceries, fresh ground coffee and home baked treats (Danish, bread and sandwiches, etc,) gifts, gas, propane, film, fishing tackle and beer while the Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant serves excellent food in a rustic style restaurant and pub.
Please note, this cabin (as well as all properties in the North Fork area) is off grid and cannot accommodate a CPAP machine or those with special medical conditions.
The North Fork Road is an unpaved mountain road and the condition is dependent upon the weather conditions. You can expect some potholes due to snow melt, etc. We recommend traveling in a truck or SUV.

Haven’t stayed at an “off the grid” type of place before but the cabin really did have everything we needed. It was so close to Bowman lake where my husband and I eloped making it super convenient! Bowman lake was gorgeous!
What a great location away from it all but yet so close to the North fork entry of Glacier National Park. Beautiful views and lots of wildlife watching from the front porch. Loved the propane lamp lighting and everything about this cabin. Rustic yet comfortable home away from home! The bunk beds were the kids' favorite part of their stay. And wow what a find the small town of Polebridge was, the huckleberry bearclaws at the Mercantile were amazing!
We absolutely loved our stay in Polebridge,MT.Cabin was beautiful with everything you need. Host was responsive to my questions. Loved seeing the wildlife and disconnecting from everything. The 26 miles of washboard, potholes road was a bit cumbersome but other than that no complaints. The mercantile was nice but make sure you go to a grocery store to buy meat etc for meals at cabin. Wonderful hikes. Make sure to stop by Ranch Bottoms Bar fun times!Cheri Norris
The cabin met our needs, and was just as advertised. We found it funny that you provided a url for a listing of garbage dump locations. There is not cell service in that area, much less wifi. An actual list of locations, or a map would have been helpful.

Hi Linda,
We used to provide a map and list, but the locations kept changing, which frustrated guests. So we found that when guests leave, if they take the garbage bag with them they can access the info in the link as soon as they get back to the area that has a signal.
I wish there was a better way and we are certainly open for suggestions.
I’m glad you enjoyed the cabin and hope you will consider us again for future adventures !
It is a great off grid cabin. It has propane lights and access to a generator when needed. The view is great from the front porch. It was clean and was perfect for our adventures at Glacier National Park. Polebridge is a great little town, and the people were very friendly at the Mercantile. I highly recommend this property.
I rented this cabin for my friends while they were visiting me in Polebridge. My communication with the host was excellent as was theirs. They said, "Very nice cabin. Very clean. Fabulous view. Quiet location. Like having the generator. Was handy for recharging our power station which we used for powering a CPAP machine. The propane lights were handy. The on demand water heater was great."
The cabin was immaculate. Secluded so that we saw no people while at the cabin but did see deer every morning. Our last night the sky was so clear, and no light polution, that we saw what appeared to be the entire Milky Way. Fantastic.
Great cabin, amazing view of Glacier. So quiet and peaceful. Only issue was the first night. With pilot light still on heater, windows all closed up when we checked in and 90 degree weather and hot air blowing from stove it was uncomfortably warm inside cabin.

Check in was terrible
The place overall was great, but the check in was a nightmare which put a damper on the whole experience. There is no internet or phone service & the code we were given for the key did not work. What to do? The nice guy at the bar let us use his landline. We called the number given to us repeatedly, no one answered. We finally called VRBO directly and they eventually got in touch with the owner who provided us with the correct code. 2 hours later we finally got into the cabin feeling very stressed. While I was on the phone my husband was asking around to see about alternate accommodations and there were none, so we would have been in a mess. You’d think the person whose contact information you are provided would make themselves available on check in days, and why the wrong pass code in the first place?’!

Carol,
We're glad you thought the cabin was great. Thank you for prefacing your concern with that.
We deeply apologize for the check-in glitch. After investigating the cause we found that an old code was accidently left in the email that VRBO Hospitality App sends to guests. We found and fixed the glitch immediately after your phone call.
Our check-in days are 7 days a week during the summer so it was just a coincidence that the first contact was out of pocket for a couple of hours - thankfully you were able to get through to me.
Our goal is to provide a stress-free adventure to our guests and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have had great success with the happiness of our guests during their stay and we hope that you will still consider us for your future adventures in the North Fork.
We would love to have you experience the cabin and surroundings while stress-free.
Sincerely,
Langton Lodge
Some of our family stayed here during a recent trip to see Glacier NP. The cabin is about a 50-minute drive from Apgar on the west side of the park. Keep in mind that the road from the park to Polebridge is partly unpaved, and that the mile or so from Polebridge to the cabin is unpaved and quite rough.
The cabin is very basic in terms of amenities. There is a fridge, but the water pump (for shower and sink usage) is run by a generator. This is easy to turn on, but it can't be run constantly; you turn it on only when you need it. Other lights are propane, like lanterns. You turn the gas valve on and light the mantle.
There is a land line phone, and we did successfully get in touch with the owner's answering service to report a minor issue, which they resolved the next day.
So this is a nice cabin and worked well for us, but just bear in mind that it is off the grid and rustic. Overall, though, a great stay if that's what you're looking for.
This cabin is a great way to enjoy the North Fork of the Flathead!
The view from the front porch is spectacular there is ample parking for a boat, and the cabin was clean and well appointed. The owner was responsive and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Only problem I had was the roads, they were so bad!!!. First arrived at the cabin, was a bit confused about the electricity. Once I got the hang of using it was fine.
We spent 2 weeks in Montana- 4 nights were in polebridge. We loved this cabin. It was very clean, stocked well, had comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and incrediblee views. Highly recommend.
