Old Irving Park, a neighbourhood in Greensboro, is home to this holiday home. Greensboro Historical Museum and International Civil Rights Center and Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Latham Park Tennis Center and Greensboro Children's Museum. Check out an event or a game at First Horizon Coliseum, and consider making time for Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park, a top attraction not to be missed.
This place was perfect for our 4 night stay. It was quiet, clean, charming and close proximity to everything we needed. Owners were very communicative/helpful and provided a lot of details about the area. The house was more spacious than expected. We will rent again.
It's pretty accurate. I liked the convenience of the onsite w/d and dishwasher. We cooked a Mother's Day dinner on the Friday before Mother's Day. We had most of what we needed but had to borrow Stainless Steel pots and Pans from my son who lives near by. The host has teflon coated aluminum pots and most of the surfaces were scratched. If you do not plan to cook (eat out) then it's not a problem. There is a Keurig with pods on site and an expresso pot too!The 'smart' Fire TVs were also a plus. The State street area is in walking distance which has cute shops. Driving is easy and Sprouts, Trader Joes and Whole Foods within 15 min.The Food Lion is even closer up the street and you can walk there. On Sunday morning May 9th we observed a Mother deer in the back yard which my 10 yr old grandson alerted us to. We had quite the enjoyable experience watching her eat leaves and such! So cool! All in all we enjoyed out 6 night stay. I found the updates in the home to be quite nice, charming lighting, flooring and fixtures. I also appreciated the adjustable thermostat for the 43 degree mornings and the days when the outdoor temp rises to the upper 70s.
Went very smoothly. The host was on hand to sort out any issues. Convenient to downtown, and I enjoyed the local nature paths. The cupboards are a bit bare, so you'll be picking up a few items, especially for cooking or entertaining. And just fyi, if you spend any quiet time on the porch, you're sure to spot some local wildlife.
Kriston was extremely easy to contact and very responsive. The house is in a great location and a safe neighborhood. Very thoughtfully decorated! A note to those with allergies to bring Claritin for long term stays- there are some strays in the neighborhood whose dander somehow find their way into the house. Kriston did her best to resolve the issue, but if you are allergic, just a helpful note!
Our recent stay at this VRBO started off a little rocky with the initial impression not being as clean as we had hoped. However, I have to give the owner major kudos for their incredibly quick and helpful response! They were hyper-responsive and immediately took steps to address the issue, which we really appreciated.Beyond that initial hiccup, the neighborhood was quiet and the house itself was fantastic. It was incredibly spacious, easily accommodating our whole family without anyone feeling cramped. Also, the beds were really comfortable after a long travel and long days in the town for a sporting event. Despite the initial impression (which seemed uncharacteristic based on previous reviews and the owner's excellent communication), the overall comfort of the home truly made our stay enjoyable. We definitely recommend this VRBO and would absolutely come back for another stay in the future.
