This Tudor Craftsman style home was built circa 1904-1910. It has a rich history, originally built by and for the builder of the neighborhood who lived here first. A wedding ceremony was once performed on the interior staircase. Comcast commercials have been filmed here. It served as a boarding house for a time during the depression. And most notably, the Rich’s department store family (who later sold to Macy’s) lived here. Our family also lived here for eleven enjoyable years. The hardwood and marble tile flooring, windows, bathroom fixtures, solid interior doors and plaster walls are all original (with just a few exceptions).

This was truly a great place to stay and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Very close to great restaurants and coffee shops, etc. The house itself was clean and accommodating. There is literally a tv in every room! There were plenty of places to sleep and everyone said the beds felt great. It was cold and rainy so we didn't get to experience the back yard. If I had to find a negative-but it wasn't a big deal at all - the driveway was a little hard to find and maneuver. Seriously though, it almost felt like we were staying in a house from a movie. So much character. I loved it!
Beautiful home! Looked even better than the pictures. The host is EXTREMELY hospitable and gracious!
Experience was simple and very enjoyable. The host was very helpful and the place is beautiful and in an excellent location. Close to downtown, midtown and little five points. It was perfect!
We stayed in the Property for Thanksgiving. Had our family dinner at the Property. It worked very well for the event. The House was beautiful and even prettier than the pictures. I would highly recommend staying there and would stay again.
