About this property
Million Dollar Mountain View at Deer Valley!
Deer Valley sits on top of the ridge overlooking Dry Creek, and has a beautiful view of several mountains, and the valley below.
This 1 BR 1 BA is the perfect getaway for singles or couples. Located in Talking Rock Creek Resort, you'll be surrounded with preserved forest and wildlife habitats. The answer to do _______ live there, is yes! You'll see deer and turkeys almost every day, and there are plenty of raccoons, foxes, bears, and just about everything here.
There is a huge, elevated wraparound deck that is perfect for relaxing, coffee, drinks, BBQing, and just soaking up nature. As you enter the deck, I guarantee you will stop to look at the view, before you open the lockbox or unload your items. The first impression will melt away any stress within the few seconds of arrival.
There are more than ten local wineries, and they're surprisingly very good! All within 30 to 45 minutes, so they're perfect a little day trip. Or mix in a trip to Ellijay or Blue Ridge, a respective 35 and 45 minutes aways. Pick up some charcuterie, and enjoy a little vino on the deck before dinner.
If you're up for hiking, there are numerous options include a fitness trail within the community. We have a small pond for fishing, and we can assist with kayak and paddle board rentals that include free delivery to the cabin, or a nominal $10 fee to Carters Lake.
Feel free to bring your doggo so they can enjoy the mountain air and views alongside you. I'm telling you, there is nothing like the feeling you get sitting on the deck, and looking at this view. Sun rise, sun set, full sun, a few clouds, and more - it's just constantly changing and to be honest, I just started grinning as I was writing this. You're gonna love it.
Deer Valley is not a huge place, but there's plenty of room for a couple, and it's a paradise for singles. There is WiFi and a smart TV with log-ins (YouTube TV, Disney, Hulu, and Netflix), but my TV is the sky, valley, and stars.
Feel free to ask any questions, and let us know what you might need to prepare, or during your stay. ======================= Descriptions:

The area was nice and quiet. They did have a bug and ant problem. The tv did not work, other than that everything else was good.

Glad you enjoyed the stay, and we apologize for those issues. We have a company that sprays for all types of pests, both inside and ou. The ants were reported right away. I tried to explain how to reconnect the WiFi to the TV and that it may have disconnected during an outage. I also explained there has never been a TV in the bedroom, nor is it in the listing. Everything is working fine now. Safe travels.
The house is really nice inside. The furniture and decor is very classy and on-theme for a mountain getaway. The view is nuts. The home exceeded my expectations!

Thanks Ben, and that is so great to hear on exceeding expectations! Much appreciated, and welcome back any time!
Cute little mountain cabin, perfect for two plus a furry pal. Very clean. Communication with owner and property manager was excellent. This area of GA is beautiful. Great state park nearby, and a beautiful dam/lake is very close by. We enjoyed our stay here.

It was a pleasure meeting y'all and thanks for coming. Hope flying the drone and the day trips were fun! Welcome back, and recommend to other hosts!
Me and my boyfriend spent our second anniversary here and had a wonderful time. The maps location puts you to the wrong house so just keep driving till you get to the right number.
The view is the best part and you can’t beat the sunset.

I love reading this, and congratulations! Cheers to making a lifetime of memories!
Yes, Waze seems to be the best. I'll make sure I have that suggestion in the listing.
The property is gorgeous! The views are amazing as pictured. The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The drive to the cabin allows you to see the wonders of nature. This cabin is for those who want to get away from everything. The area has a lake for fishing, but nothing "close by". We visited the neighboring cities, Ellijay and Jasper. Ellijay has many things to do and places to eat. At night, we built a fire and gazed upon the trees, mountains and stars. If you are looking for relaxation, book today!

Glad you all had a wonderful time, and enjoyed the cabin along with the surrounding beauty.
This might be the best 4 star review in the history of VRBO, so thank you!
Cheers and safe travels!
The view was remarkable and the interior receives no justice from the pictures. The grill is a propane grill that looked brand new, and the privacy was completely as expected. The air fryer and coffee grinder, as well as the coffee pot was a nice treat; shower and toiletry was very on point; and the A/C was completely comfortable when we were relaxing inside. Every morning we sat on the balcony with breakfast made and coffee enjoying all of the view. My Fiancee and I already want to return, and she mentioned being borderline in tears when we were leaving the border to head back to Ohio.

Awww, y'al are welcome back any time, so no tears needed! lol Thanks for coming and a great review!
This place is an amazing little spot. The view is amazing. It’s quiet and very clean. Paul was a great host and made sure to be available for all our needs. The home has a well stocked kitchen. The heat worked great, and the water pressure was good! 7 miles on 411 there is a cafe called Southern Creamery where you can get some great coffee way better then Starbucks. If you like to go on walks there are plenty hills for a great workout. We danced and had a blast. The pictures are accurate. I am a frequent renter so trust me this spot is worth booking!

I love this review!! Thanks for staying, and welcome back any time!!
Gorgeous view - perfect place for a relaxing get-away!
My husband I absolutely loved the gorgeous view from the deck. It looked just like the pictures, except even better since a picture can only capture part of what you will see for yourself.
We were going to check out some great sounding restaurants, but ended up buying some groceries to make our meals for all 3 days (simple, low prep meals - I mean it's a vacation!). The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed. One amenity that wasn't mentioned was the air fryer! That was a great surprise and I loved getting to make french fries in it like I do at home.
We appreciated that the cabin is pet-friendly! And our dog VERY much appreciated this too! There is even a stand with bowls for pet food and water and other provisions that communicated that our pet was welcome.
If you are looking for a wonderful cabin for a relaxing get-away and you enjoy mountain views - go ahead and book now! The owner was very communicative and helpful along the way. We will definitely be back!

Thanks for a great review Jaclyn! Once you're there, I end up just chilling too! So peaceful to just eat or have a drink looking at the view. Welcome back any time!
Did not feel safe at the property. It’s in a very desolate location, which was ok and expected but a random, unexplained car showed up late at night and sat outside the house for hours. And this was not his housekeeper’s car who was staying downstairs. There are no curtains on any of the windows so anybody can see anything you’re doing inside. Also the grill outside did not work at all. We ended up leaving around 11pm rather than staying overnight as we did not feel safe at the property. Paul was very communicative before the stay but completely stopped responding once I brought up these complains after. Would not stay here again and will do a better job vetting properties in the future.

I have a list of emails with Omar ranging from the grill not working, a car pulling up, and not feeling safe (later added after stay). We immediately addressed the grill issue after check-in and brought him two long lighters. Omar told the cleaning lady the grill issue was all good, but told me afterwards that they couldn't eat the meal they planned. I felt horrible, but as my suspicions built, I later verified with the cleaning lady that they used the grill. He inquired about a car and I explained the cleaning lady was watching my pets and was using the downstairs unit during that time. He later changed his messages after leaving that it was a random car late at night, and they didn't feel safe. This was now the second part of his story that changed (grill use and car). He further added they didn't feel safe after checking out, and then what a shocker, asked for a full refund. We addressed all the issues immediately, so when the story started to change afterwards, I knew he was scamming for a refund. Deer Valley is in a remote, and gated community. There is only one other house on the street, there are no street lights, so yes, it is remote, but it offers incredible views of the stars at night and gorgeous views of the valley and mountains from your bed, living room, or the elevated deck. If you're a city person (like me) it's easy to get freaked out in the country, but not feeling safe is relative to one's comfort level. Cars are buzzed in and filmed when they come in from all 3 security gates. We've since finished installing all the deer-themed curtains, so that was addressed. We also fixed the grill lighter, that was a brand new issue during his stay. If you're looking for a cute cabin, overlooking the valley, with unbelievable mountain views all day, but especially for sunrise and sunsets, and to be surrounded by nature (woods, deer, turkeys, and more), this is your place. If you prefer city / hotel style accommodations, this is not your place! The rate is usually less than $100 during the week, and low $100's on the weekend. You can't book a Super 8 or Motel 6 for those rates, but they do offer plenty of neighbors and lights for those seeking that style of accommodations. If you want Million Dollar Views in a wilderness setting, for a great value, this is your place. Otherwise I hear the Super 8 in Calhoun is close to the Cracker Barrel.
