About this property
Private log cabin with hot tub and mountain views on 14 acres, pet friendly!
Fifty-six private acres. A therapy spa with waterfalls. A loft fireplace. A home movie theater. Spectacular mountain sunsets from an 8-foot wrap-around porch. This is a log cabin the way a log cabin should be!
The Cabin
A beautiful all-wood log home on the edge of the woods with open floor plan, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and sleeping for 6 — 1 king, 2 queens, 1 twin, and a queen pullout sofa. Hardwood floors, a fireplace, and the kind of bedding and beds guests rave about. Full kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, and full refrigerator. High chair and pack-n-play available for families with little ones.
The Outdoor Spa
A covered therapy spa with waterfalls seats 8 — one of the most-loved features of the cabin and perfect in every season. The covered patio area surrounding it is genuinely fabulous.
Entertainment
The game room has a pool table, air hockey, and more. The home movie theater features a 61-inch HD TV with surround sound and 100+ DVDs. Smart TVs throughout. Games and books for all ages. A basket of local pamphlets is stocked and waiting so you can plan your days on arrival.
The Land & the Porch
Fifty-six private acres to explore — walks through the woods, space for a picnic, and nature in every direction. The 8-foot wide wrap-around porch has 6 rocking chairs, a hammock for two. A swing, campfire ring with free firewood, and mountain and meadow views that guests say are worth the entire trip. The sunsets from the porch is something else.
The Farm
Exclusively available to our guests: a private tour of a real working Vermont dairy farm with over 500 cows and calves. See the calves up close, watch the milking, and experience the whole farm operation — not a tourist attraction, a genuine working farm. Families with children absolutely love this.
Lake Champlain — 2 Miles Away
Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating, jet skiing, water skiing, sailboat tours, and dinner cruises — all as little as 2 miles from the cabin. Burlington, Vermont's largest city, is only 20 minutes north for restaurants, shops, and city conveniences.
Four Seasons
Winter: dog sledding, ice skating, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and sleigh rides nearby. Spring and summer: hiking, lake swimming, and farm visits. Fall: Vermont foliage from your own private porch. There is truly no bad time to come.

About the host
Hosted by Kris or Ben
My husband and I built this cabin for our son Jordan — whose story you'll find waiting for you when you arrive. We've been welcoming families here for 17 years, and as parents of 5 and grandparents of 11, we truly understand what families need to relax, reconnect, and have fun. We take every effort to give you privacy while making sure you have everything you need for a wonderful stay. We also own River Stone Lodge, a larger retreat about 25 minutes away in Ripton, Vermont — perfect if you're traveling with two families or a larger group. And for something completely different, we also have a beachfront property on the Caribbean coast of Mexico available when we're not there ourselves. We hope whichever home you choose feels like a home away from home. That's always the goal.
Why they chose this property
This property is something truly special. The views are beautiful, the sunsets are spectacular, and the setting is as peaceful as it gets — yet you're close enough to Burlington and Middlebury for shopping, dining, and events whenever you want them. It's the best of both worlds. We love grilling outside while the kids play around the campfire, soaking in the hot tub as the sun goes down with a good cup of coffee, and spending long evenings on the wrap-around porch with drinks and games. The porch really does become an extension of the living space for three seasons — guests never want to leave it. In any season, this cabin delivers. That's why we built it, and it's why guests keep coming back.
What makes this property unique
We have many unique benefits, A wrap around porch that is wonderful for enjoying the lovely days 3 seasons of the year with several rockers, a swing, and table with a couch for playing cards, having your favourite coffee or a good drink! How about enjoying our hot tub while watching the sun go down or early in the morning while others sleep. A campfire ring to have campfire roasting marshmallows and singing campfires songs around. We provide the wood. The game room with full-size pool table and full-size air hockey! The home movie theatre where you can have down time watching movies. There is so much for everyone from couples to families.
