Exceeded expectations on every level. I booked my stay to facilitate some business in Bakersfield & ended up extending my stay to enjoy all the amenities available here… The host(s) make amazing neighbors & were extremely responsive to any questions or needs. I enjoyed the comfort and classy style of the loft & yard (especially the hot tub with the amazing views of the scenery) and wish I had longer to hike & explore the incredible creeks, mountains, caves, & views from the surrounding peaks.Looking forward to next time I’m in the area again so I can return for another experience at the loft!

Perfect Desert Getaway!

My friends and I wanted to get out of Los Angeles and get some writing done so we booked this location and we couldn't have been happier with it. The closest neighbor was nearly a mile so you really get your privacy. The house itself is a concrete palace with high vaulted ceilings and a fantastic upper floor with a panoramic view of the desert landscape. They even had a fantastic sounding upright piano that you can play along with tons of tiny percussion instruments you can mess around with. They have a lovely fire pit area and even a hot tub in case you need to soak at the end of the day. There is also trails all around the property that you can hike (One even leads to some cool caves). Ashley and Matt were also very accommodating hosts and were quick to respond with any questions or inquiries that we had. 10/10, we definitely are going to try and made time to come back again!

We wanted to find that hidden gem of a property that felt SPECIAL. Sand Canyon is stunning year round and never fails to delight.

What makes this property unique


With three floors of open concept, theres plenty of room to spread out and enjoy privacy for everyone! First floor open living dining and massive bed. Upstairs you'll find the only bathroom, cozy but complete. Another bedroom with two twin trundle style beds. Vast mezzanine office space for work. 3RD floor cupola perfect for anyone who's into gaming. Surrounded by 360 windows.

Being right next to Tomo Kanhi State park gives you access to tours offered by appointment in spring and fall. Our land offers very similar hikes, topography, caves, petroglyphs and geological displays to that of the park. Only a mile from the Sand Canyon Ranch wedding venue.
WE also offer camping, RV parking (W/O hookups) and Glamping tent set up in your choice of locations. Need to sleep an additional 6-8 people? We've got something for you.
